Having a Halloween party for your kids is simple with Allrecipes. There are numerous Halloween recipes on the site. I have tried many of them and they have always been well received. I have tried some new ones, this year, with Karo syrup and Pillsbury crescent rolls that I have been equally… MORE

About Me
I have been a member with a profile since 2007, but was scoping the site many years before that printing recipes. It was a life saver in college and continues to be well used today, as my eating habits change. I graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.A. degree in Liberal Arts. I also received a certification in Culinary Arts, from a local community college, for pure interest. I can be contacted at: sarahstephking@yahoo.com Please put Allrecipes in the subject line, so I know who it is from.
My favorite things to cook
For most every day dinners, I enjoy quick, lightened, or healthy meals. My favorite kitchen gadget has become my blender. I went through different models before finally getting a Vitamix machine which I had really wanted. I love finding recipes on Allrecipes or the internet to try in it for new smoothies, fruit drinks, soups, salsas, sauces, and fruit ice creams. I consume more vegetables and fruits than before and have lost weight in the process. I use it daily for breakfast or lunch.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We had quite a few growing up. Too many to mention. Now, I enjoy finding new recipes, to try each year, to take to holiday parties. I have a few recipe boxes, one which is just for holidays, which keeps expanding.
My cooking triumphs
As a child it was baking and decorating dozens of Christmas cookies, each year, at my grandmas. Currently, it is all my ever growing knowledge in cooking and becoming an Allrecipes Allstar.
My cooking tragedies
I am sure we have all had a few, that's how we learn. My biggest kitchen dissasters were having a glass dish explode in the oven and using a broiler for the first time and catching the vegetables on fire. I have learned, don't ever leave the broiler when it's on.
