Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2013
This is the same recipe I've used for chocolate chip cookies my whole life. Never, ever fails. The secret to getting them perfect is to add the exact measurement of each ingredient and do not cook past 10 minutes if you want a gooey cookie.

Easy Decadent Truffles

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2013
I followed this recipe ALMOST to a tee. The only thing I did, at the suggestion of many other reviewers, was cut out one cup of powdered sugar. I'm glad I did, otherwise I do think it would have been too sweet. Other than that, these turned out creamy, rich, and delicious! I did read some reviews that said the mixture got sticky and hard to make into a ball after a while, so I stirred in about 2 tbsp. of shortening to the mixture before I refrigerated it and that did the trick! My truffle mixture never got sticky while making the balls. This is definitely a keeper recipe that I can't wait to try playing around with again :)

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2013
I have made this recipe several times, and while I have not had the problem of sinking muffins or burnt streusel, I do think the muffins are a little plain in taste. I am searching for something that is bakery quality and this recipe is not it. It is not the worst recipe in the world by far, but there is just something missing from the taste, it seems. I have to agree with another reviewer that said it's really up to the sweet topping on this muffin to give it the flavor.

The Best Steak Marinade

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2013
When I make steak, I use venison, as my husband and I are both hunters. Venison, if you haven't tried it before, is a very lean meat, but it can taste quite "gamey" when it comes to steaks, since it's just the slab of meat with no processing. This marinade makes the venison steaks have nearly the same taste of beef steaks. I let it marinade anywhere from 6-12 hours in the fridge and the steaks come out tender and juicy. It is a nice flavorful recipe and I don't think the vinegar is too strong at all.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2012
These are really good. I made them on Christmas morning for my family and they were all in heaven. The cream cheese frosting is the best part. I made the bread dough by hand, though, as I do not have a bread machine and it still turned out fine.

Easiest Peanut Butter Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2012
I really liked this recipe. I took the suggestion of the video to add some chocolate chips, but I would cut back on the confectioner's sugar a little bit more next time. Overall, a great, rich fudge that is very soft and creamy.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2012
Yum! What a great soup recipe, and this allowed me to use up my leftover ham from Christmas dinner. I did not have celery, so I used celery salt instead and it worked fine. I am rating four stars based on the recipe as written, which is still very good, but it was a little too bland when I taste tested it. I'm sure a lot of people would be fine with it as written, though. (I added: cubed Velveeta, crumbled bacon, basil, fresh parsley, seasoning salt, and some sour cream to it and loved it.)

Amish White Bread

This is one of the simplest bread recipes I have ever used, but produces a great, sweet-tasting bread.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2012
My family loved this lasagna. As the recipe states, yes, it does take some extra time and preparation, but this tastes wonderful. If you don't have time during the week to make this, I think it would make a great weekend meal. I especially liked the homemade meat sauce. This came out cheesy and delicious and is now a family favorite. My three-year-old cleaned his plate (literally, licked the plate) and wants me to make it again. Also, I liked that this meal provided leftovers for lunch for a few days.

Walnut Cinnamon Rolls

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2012
Excellent. These are so easy to make, and well worth the time put into it. I made my own homemade bread dough to go with it, which added to the deliciousness of it all. I will be using this again and again.

Pizza Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2011
I love this recipe. My 1.5 year old son does, too. I've made it twice now, and he has gobbled it down every single time. I use penne noodles and only add sausage, pepperoni, cheese, and sauce, because my husband doesn't like veggies in his pizza. This is a quick and easy recipe, great for nights when you need a quick meal! Thank you for sharing!

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2011
WOW! These are AWESOME! They taste just like Applebees! The only thing I did different was use boneless chicken breasts cut into strips. My fiance loves boneless wings, so I bought a six pack of boneless, skinless breasts and used those instead. They still turned out just fine. I fried the chilled strips on the stove top in light olive oil instead of deep frying them and sprayed Pam on them while they were cooking. They turned out crispy and delicious! Thank you for this recipe! LOVE IT!

Banana Split Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2011
This is such a simple, easy recipe that you can make with ingredients you probably already have. The only thing I would suggest is cutting back on the chocolate chips. I would do 3/4 cup at most. Still, a VERY delicious bread!

Emily's Famous Apple Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2010
This was a very simple recipe, which is great for busy moms like me! The pie turned out very crisp and sweet, just the way I like apple pie! I added a pinch extra of clove and I also added some brown sugar into the filling, as well as sprinkling it over the top of the pie, and it was delicious!
