Turkey Wings with Yellow Rice

I've been making this dish for years using this exact recipe. It is convenient and tastes great. Thanks for posting. (BTW, using whole turkey wings for stock is a waste of perfectly good meat. Stock can be made using the wing tips.)

Daddy's Fried Corn and Onions

Great side dish. Had some extra ears of corn left over from the 4th and did not want to make the usual cream corn etc. The addition of the onions was fantastic. I did not have sweet onions available so used regular yellow onions and added a teaspoon of sugar. This was a very savory side dish that turned into the main course for my 9 year old son.

Beer Margaritas

I've made these at least 7 times since Super Bowl 44. Everytime I have a gathering, it is the most requested drink. I took another reviewer's suggestion and use 7-up and Corona Extra.

The Best Chicken Fried Steak

I previously stayed away from trying to cook this and opted to purchase chicken fried steak from restaurants. Well, not anymore. One of the best breading recipes I have come across for chicken fried steak. The crust was crispy and seasoned and I even got the gravy right. Tip to everyone saying that it is bland... one of the first lessons of frying anything is to season the meat first. Otherwise, you have seasoned breading with tasteless meat. And always season to YOUR taste.

Bacon-Balsamic Deviled Eggs

This a great recipe for gourmet deviled eggs. The additional of the bacon is a wonderful idea. However, I think they would have tasted better without the red onion. It seemed to overpower the other ingredients. REVISION: 5 stars when I halved the amount of red onion and grated it like another reviewer suggested. I have made this recipe 3 times since my original review and found that using quality real bacon bits tastes as good as the pan-fried bacon and takes a lot less time.

Indiana-Style Fried Cabbage

This was a great side dish that I ended up eating as a main dish the next day. Mostly followed directions as written except for a few personal preferences-- no mushrooms, added chicken stock, cooked a little longer. Will definitely use this receipe from now on to make cabbage.

Gunline Coffee

A great winter drink. I am not a coffee drinker but sometimes I need a little pick-me-up in the mornings and this is it! I did tweak it some by adding an extra 1/2 cup of each cocoa and creamer and replaced the regular sugar with 1 cup turbinado sugar. Thanks for the recipe. I will be packaging this as Christmas gifts this year.

Cream Corn Like No Other

Barlow's Blackened Catfish

This was delicious. Even my 7-year old son asked for seconds. I omitted both the salt and the cayenne pepper and added a little blackened seasoning. I think the salt in the itialian dressing made up for this omission perfectly. Thanks for the recipe. Will definitely prepare catfish using this method from now on.
