Marie's Homemade Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2014
This is a really good, creamy mac and cheese! I did add a little garlic powder and pinch of cayenne pepper which added a little more flavor and a panko topping. I would definitely make this again, it's just not THE recipe yet.

White Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Cupcakes

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2014
These were nice cupcakes! Loved the flavor combo of adding white chocolate chips! This recipe made a HUGE batch, so I did 12 cupcakes and then used the rest in a bread loaf pan. It was perfect! Great way to really spruce up a box mix!

Sloppy Joes II

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2014
I did a twist on this kid friendly comfort food and swapped the ground beef for Johnsonville mild italian ground sausage. This was such a hit with my family!! The guys went back for seconds and ate leftovers for lunch the next day! The sausage added another level of spice to the sloppy joes, which gave more dimension to the flavor. This is a great, quick meal that kids and adults will love!

Johnsonville Sausage Balls

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2014
This is such a great recipe that seems to be loved by all! I made a couple of changes- I just mixed the recipe ingredients with the raw sausage and baked a few minutes longer until cooked through. Also, I omitted the mushrooms for picky eaters. These have a perfect balance of spices and create such a tender on the inside, crispy on the outside appetizer! Prepare ahead and make a double batch...you won't regret it!

Country Gravy Like None Other

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2014
This was a great breakfast! I like the mix of spicy and mild sausage and the addition of minced onion. This added some nice flavor to traditional sausage gravy. Will make this again!

Honey Of An Oatmeal Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2014
This bread had a great flavor, but I had problems with the amount of flour. It was almost soupy when it was kneading in the machine, so I had to guess and add more flour. The final loaf came out a little tough on the outside, but I'm not an experienced bread maker (hence using a machine). I don't plan to give up on this recipe, just fine tune how I can adjust the flour amount.

This was a super easy dish to make! I added extra lemon pepper seasoning because we like it. The chicken is so tender and is great for sandwiches the next day too!

Butter Schnitzel

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2014
This was so tasty! The only change I made to the recipe was to cook the pork first and kept warm in the oven at 200 degrees, then made the gravy. Served with garlic mashed potatoes and peas- such a comforting meal!

Baked Ziti with Cheese

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2014
The whole family absolutely loved this! It was perfectly cheesy and creamy. I used the Roasted Garlic Marinara by Barilla and OMG- that sauce is fantastic! I definitely found my go to store bought sauce!

Stuffed Alfredo Baked Potatoes

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2014
What a great way to change up the classic baked potato! This was much enjoyed and would be a great side to serve with steaks. I'd serve this one to guests too, as it made a nice presentation! 5 stars from this house!

Creamy Beef Enchiladas

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2014
These were delicious! I doubled the recipe and divided into smaller pans to freeze for a quick meal for later. The only change I made was swapping regular cream cheese for jalapeno cream cheese, but we like spicy food. These reheated well too!

This is such a classic recipe! The only change I made was to swap the soda for the pineapple juice that was leftover from the slices. This was a delicious ham!

BBQ Glazed Homemade Meatballs

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2014
These were really good! The BBQ sauce was really simple but delicious! I did everything separate- Meatballs in the oven and simmered the sauce on the stove. Served with some fried pickles and was a great little dinner!

Chicken Chimichangas with Green Sauce

Reviewed: May 6, 2014
Everyone loved these! The only thing I did differently was bake them in the oven at 350, brushed each chimichanga with oil, and baked for 15 minutes on each side in a 9x13 pan. These were requested for the usual dinner rotation!

Simple Beef Stroganoff

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2014
It was such a huge hit with my family! This was a nice, quick meal to put together on a busy weeknight. I replaced the ground beef with Johnsonville's Irish O'Garlic sausages that were removed from the casing and browned and crumbled. This sausage gave this dish some amazing flavor! This has been requested for dinner again already!

Mexican Sushi

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2014
These were easy and make a great appetizer or light lunch! Surprisingly, my grocery store didn't have a good selection of flavored tortillas, but I found some cheddar jalapeno tortillas and that gave this recipe a nice kick of flavor! I also had to substitute regular refried beans for the black beans, but this was still a tasty snack!

Amazing Muffin Cups

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2014
These were so good and went very well with pancakes as a nice breakfast for dinner! These would be great to make up a batch (or two!) to have a nice brunch as well! I did not add the bell pepper as I didn't have it on hand. To get the potatoes to crisp up, after 15 minutes I turned the broiler on and just watched until they were brown. The whole family loved these!

Oat and Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2014
These were really simple to make and very flavorful! I was looking for a more nutritious and filling muffin for everyone to grab a quick breakfast and these do just that. The only change I made was using 1/4 cup of natural agave syrup in place of the sugar. These smell great while baking and I will make these again!

Pork Carnitas with Cilantro Tomatillo Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2014
My family really enjoyed this new take on taco night! I chose not to cube the pork and placed it in my slow cooker on top of the sliced onions. I rubbed the pork with the oil and seasonings, and set it on low for 7 hours. We just shredded our 2.5 pound pork shoulder, topped with the tomatillo sauce, and piled it in a corn tortilla. It was a quick dinner on the table!
