Tossed Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: May 23, 2012
Great simple and easy salad. Perfect to throw together in a few minutes. I followed the recipe exactly but did find the dressing to be far to thick so I added a little milk to thin it down. Pretty sure I will be using this recipe again.

Mango Blueberry Muffins With Coconut Streusel

Reviewed: May 23, 2012
I was just so thrilled when I found this recipe. The only tweak I made was to use up some dried mango in place of the fresh. I just adore these muffins, the coconut streusel really is the icing on the cake and complements these muffins entirely. Thank you for posting this wonderful recipe!

Wine and Dijon Marinated Pork Loin

Reviewed: May 23, 2012
I was looking for a recipe to use up some wine and a fellow AR Buzzer recommended this recipe. Followed the recipe exactly did not change a thing. It was an enjoyable piece of pork, although not sure this recipe is a keeper for me. Thank you for sharing. Did take an extra hour to cook that the recipe.

Smooth Sweet Tea

Reviewed: May 20, 2012
Simple and very easy recipe. I did not add the sugar as some of my family prefer to drink it without. I will certainly be using this recipe again.

Vanilla Berry Parfaits

Reviewed: May 15, 2012
Quick simple and very easy recipe. I did tweak a little as I had fresh strawberries to use, so replaced these with the frozen fruits. Also added a little crunchy breakfast cereal. This recipe made one large serving.

Orange Cucumber Tossed Salad

Reviewed: May 15, 2012
Enjoyable salad, made a change from the regular summer salads. I used a small can of mandarins, reserved the juice and used this for the 1/4 cup of orange juice the recipe requires. Also added a little feta. Great recipe, I will certainly be using this again.

I followed this recipe exactly, No tweaking at all. These made great pancakes, perfect for my Mothers Day breakfast. Everyone loved them, this recipe certainly makes enough to feed even the hungry teenagers. Thank you for sharing!

Raspberry Nut Butter Cake

Reviewed: May 10, 2012
Not sure I would call this a "Show of cake" its pretty much a simple bundt. I did make a few changes, added 1/2 cup of sour cream to the bater. I used almond extract in place of the vanilla (almond and raspberry work so much better together) and used chopped almonds in place of the other nuts.

Cinnamon, Spice and Everything Nice Cookies

Reviewed: May 9, 2012
For me you can never get enough spice in a cookie so these are perfect. I did use butter in place of the shortening and added some crystalized root ginger. Thank you for sharing.

Peanut Butter Chip Chocolate Cookies

Reviewed: May 9, 2012
Followed the recipe exactly. I Used Penzies Dutch Process High Fat Cocoa but even so I still was not too impressed with this cookie. I found them very hard, not crispy just hard. I would much prefer something a little more chewy.

Over the Top Nachos

Reviewed: May 9, 2012
Great, simple and very easy recipe. I used my own leftover shredded beef and omitted the beans as my family simply don't like them. Added chopped tomatoes and a mixture of cheddar and pepper jack cheese. These were so good, next time I think I will add shredded lettuce and some salsa. Certainly be making these again.

Quick and very simple recipe for a night when you are short of time. I followed the recipe exactly other than also adding a little pepperjack cheese.

Whiskey Cake II

Reviewed: May 8, 2012
I did make just a few changes to meet my pantry contents. I used a butter cake mix in place of the yellow box mix and just 1/2 pack of butterscotch chips (thats all I had). This cake is so delicious I just adore the combination of the whiskey flavor and the butterscotch chips. I baked for 65 minutes and the cake is both slightly crisp on the crust but so moist inside. I will certainly be baking this again!

Slow Cooker Spicy Chicken

Reviewed: May 2, 2012
I followed the recipe exactly, used a good quality jar of salsa. But this still was not liked by my family, I served in pitta breads with a side salad. This was a quick easy to throw together meal but not something that I will make again.

Greek Salad with Spinach & Feta Chicken Sausage

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2012
First time, my family and I have eaten a sausage salad. I am a huge fan of feta so added a few pieces of feta to the side salad. The salad was enjoyable, but not really sure the sausage work well with this. I don't think this is anything I will be making again.

Roasted Pork Loin

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2012
Great easy recipe, and something that I would make again with a few tweaks. Being honest I did find the paprika too over powering for this type of joint. Next day I will omit the paprika and mustard and make into more of a herb filling. Great easy recipe, thank you for sharing.

Toffee Bar Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2012
This was a very quick and easy cake to make, but it just did not excite me. I thought it was ok but nothing at all special. The base was pretty bland. I followed the recipe exactly and cooked for 40 minutes. Thank you for sharing but its not something I will be making again.

Wonderful Streusbury Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2012
I looked online to try and find out if there was a history behind the name of this cake but unfortunately I could not find anything. Yes, like some of the other reviews have said this is just a pound cake, but a very sweet pound. I only used 2.5 cups of sugar and it was way too sweet.

Italian Chicken Sausage Risotto

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2012
Having cooked risotto for years (first learnt in High school) I thought this recipe was just average. I did add a few mushrooms and some sweetcorn to the dish. The sausages I find are not really to my families likeing, the consistancy is so unlike a regular sausage. Glad I tried this recipe, just not sure I will be making it again

Bacon and Tomato Cups

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2012
These were so quick and simple to make. I used the mini size biscuits as that was what I had in the fridge. I bake these full size in a regular muffin pan for 18 minutes. I used pepper jack cheese as I had no swiss and served straight from the oven. The base was nice and crisp, the topping was so good too. Thank you for sharing this recipe.
