Oatmeal Scotchies from Nestle® Toll House®

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2012
I followed the recipe exactly, I used Quaker Maple and brown sugar oats as that was all I had to hand. I always freeze individual cookie dough balls (This always helps with stopping them going flat and also saves eating a whole batch at a time). Roll the dough into balls and place on a cookie tray in the freeer. Once frozen store in a zip lock bag until required. To cook simply place frozen dough balls on a baking tray and bake at 350 degrees for approz 25 mins. Perfect cookies everytime.

Cranberry Muffins

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2012
I read some of the other reviews before making these muffins and added the 1/2 cup of sour cream to try and help with the texture. I also added a cup of white chocolate chips. The recipe made 24 good side muffins and while I liked the taste I found even with the sour cream these were a little on the dry side, ok recipe but not a keeper for me.

Great fall recipe ~ I did use 1/2 cup of golden raisins and changed the topping slightly. for the topping I used chopped pecans in place of the oats. Other than that I followed the recipe exactly, thank you for sharing.

Sausage and Bean Slow Cooker Dinner

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2012
A great easy recipe for a cold winter night ~ I did use Jimmy Dean sausage crumbles in place of the sausage slices. I used fire roasted chopped tomatoes and increased the stock to 2 cups. I also added 1/2 cup of anellini pasta uncooked to the crockpot for the last two hours of cooking. A nice filling dinner for a hungry family ~ thank you for sharing.

Spiced Raisin Mini Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2012
I followed the recipe exactly, other than adding 1 tsp of rum extract. I loved the taste but did not like the texture, they really felt a little on the dry side and needed something extra, maybe egg, milk ~ I'm not too sure but as written this recipe is not a keeper for me.

Havana Slow Cooker Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2012
Thank you so much for this recipe Amanda ~ My family loved it! I followed the recipe exactly, no need to change anything. The pork was so tender and just fell apart, this was such an easy recipe but tasted like you had spent hours cooking it. I know I will be making this again and again :-)

BBQ Chicken Crescents

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2012
These were so quick and easy. my family just loved these. I did use left over spicy BBQ Chicken, as I didn't want these in the obvious crecent shape ~ I lined a muffin pan with the dough, then filled with the chicken and topped with cheese. Cooked for 25 minutes, like a mini pie ~ tasty and so easy!!

Cheesy Cauliflower Couscous

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2012
I followed the recipe exactly (have made a similar recipe before) butthis was just so bland, even with adding extra pepper jack cheese. Its a quick and easy side dish but needs something to kick it up quite a bit

Caribbean Banana Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2012
I just loved these muffins, if you are making these make sure you use the rum ~ it really is what gives these the extra kick. I did tweak this recipe a little. I only had 2 bananas, so had to use just those. I used a mixture of white and brown sugar. I increased the rum extract to 1.5 tablespoons and the coconut I used 1/2 powdered coconut (from the asian store) and 1/2 shredded. I did'nt like the look of these muffins so decided to use my own coconut streutsel ( 1/4 cup all-purpose flour, 1 tablespoon white sugar, 3 tablespoons sweetened flaked coconut, 2 tablespoons butter simply mix all the ingredients together and put to one side). Once I filled the muffin papers to 3/4 full I added streutsel mixture to the top before putting in the oven, they really did give the finished muffins a m ore professional look. Like other reviews stated this recipe makes approx 18 good size muffins!

Chocolate-Filled Crescents

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2012
Such easy delectable treats. Perfect when you are in need of that chocolate fix. I'm going to try this recipe with all sorts of fillings. I did tweak a litle, I used a small amount of Hershey's frosting to the inside of the dough, added regualar chocolate chips and then rolled. I brushed the outside with a small amount of melted butter and finished with a sprinkling of brown sugar. (forgot to mention I also used Pillsbury Big and buttery Crescent rolls, which were perfect for this recipe)

Moroccan Couscous

Great recipe, although for my own taste I did find the orange to be a little too much. If I was to make again, I think I would replace the orange juice with more stock. Thank you for sharing

Absolute Mexican Cornbread

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2012
I'm going to rate this as a 3* because its a nice recipe but not perfect. I love the fact it has chiles and cheese, but the overall effect is a little on the greasy side. Just the right amount of cornmeal. Nice taste, a shame its a little too greasy.

Amusement Park Cornbread

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2012
This recipe just didn't work out for me. I followed the recipe exactly a written but I do wish I read the other reviews first. I found the muffins to be dry and nothing like a cornbread. In fact there was not enough corn so made it taste like a dry plain muffin. I'm sure there is a way to Jazz this recipe up, maybe less flour and more corn.
