Cheesy Potato and Corn Chowder

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2012
Very good, was looking for an alternative to the standard Corn Chowder. I questioned the gravy mix, but it added to the favor without standing out. Will be making this again.

French Toast Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2012
Was okay as is, but was very mushy on the bottom and the top of bread gets too crunchy. I will make it again with a few changes, add cinnamon in with the egg batter, along with a little nutmeg. Spray the pan for sure with some Pam. Cover dish for at least the first 1/2 hour, remove cover and finish baking. Let stand for a few minutes before serving. Top with some maple syrup and sprinkle with some powdered sugar...makes a very attractive dish.

Mom's Apple Fritters

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2011
They were ok, but not much flavor. I would suggest adding either some apple pie spice or nutmeg to the batter. Kids liked them. Very easy to make and quick.

Jo's Rosemary Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2011
Very Yummy bread! Made dough in bread machine, punched it down after dough cycle and formed into a flat ball. Let rise for 40 mins. then brushed the top with egg and sprinked it with mozzarella cheese, baked in the oven at 375 degrees for 25 mins. Came out great, not to heavy.

French Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2011
Came out great! I think I ate a half of a loaf while it was still warm, yum. Light and soft in center with a nice golden brown thin hard crust. I personally would leave out the sesame seeds, but I will be making this bread often.

Potato Latkes I

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2009
I never dreamed that such a simple recipe could be so delicious. I have never made any kind of “hash browns” from scratch, but it was so quick and easy. I followed this recipe to a T, and they came out perfect. As I was putting them into the skillet I thought to myself that I was making way too many than what my family would eat. (My husband and I, and our two young boys). But I’ll tell you every last one disappeared, they absolutely loved them. Even my youngest boy how generally wants nothing to do with potatoes, thought they were fantastic. I will never buy pre-made hash browns again; this recipe will be a sample in my collection. Thanks!
