My favorite things to cook
I enjoy cooking pretty much anything but I guess I have to say I love working with pasta more than anything else. Pasta is so versatile and with the right ingredients, it is a complete meal.
My favorite family cooking traditions
The cooks in my family are amazing and they have inspired many of my dishes...or alterations of traditional ones. The people in my family are also avid grillers and very good at it.
My cooking triumphs
I've never entered cooking contests but its a rewarding feeling to see the "picky" eaters in my family enjoy what I've cooked for them. I've had very successful potlucks... :-)
My cooking tragedies
I had several tragedies when I first started experimenting with dishes...ask my father. LOL I recall the time I tried to make stuffed chicken...I used anise seeds in a potato stuffing... I was 13 at the time. The chicken was somewhat burnt on the outside and raw on the inside and the stuffing was bloody. The outcome did not discourage me and I looked for ways to improve.
