Slow Cooker Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2011
this is one of my families favorite recipes. The only changes I make--lite coconut milk and fat free greek yogurt. Also--we like to eat this with/on naan, similar to a flatbread wrap. YUM!!!

Authentic Mexican Tortillas

Reviewed: May 5, 2010
Although I can't roll them into perfect circles, apparently...these are DELICIOUS! I will definitely make these again. GREAT recipe! I cut the shortening in by hand then used my mixer to make it cohesive.

Guinness® Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2008
Was so perfect on St. Pat's day with steak and salad. I was very worried that I was over cooking it, so I did take it out of the oven about 10 minutes early. The bread was extremely moist and flavorful. I don't believe anyone but me knew there was beer in the batter. Good flavor, not overpowering at all.

Joel's Guinness Steak

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2008
YUM YUM YUM! I used a london broil steak, and this was fabulous. In the future, I will add garlic and more salt and pepper. Broiled beautifully. I am giving this a 4 though--we were not huge fans of the sauce. Will stick with A1, if any is used at all.

Potato Casserole II

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2008
We all really liked this casserole, but in the future, I will heat the potatoes on the stove before putting them in the oven. Even after an hour, the potatoes were a little cold. I thought they were mostly thawed...but I guess not.

I thought this was EXCELLENT, but my hubby thought it tasted too much like booze. He was wrong, it was wonderful!

Easy Slow Cooker Ham

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2008
Made this for Easter yesterday, and it was SOOO good! My 5 year old thought I gave him sweet bacon! The only thing I changed was the number of cloves--used approx. 15. Made with a 7.5 lb spiral ham. I would definately make this again, but cook it only for about 5 hours.

Corn Dogs

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2008
yummy yummy! These browned a bit faster than I expected, and certainly cooked faster than I thought they would. Granted, I have a gas stove and used an enameled cast iron pot, which retained heat very well. Will definately make these again.

Slow-Cooker Barbecue Ribs

GREAT riBs! I added a lot to the sauce though--garlic, liquid smoke, grill spice, etc. SOOOOOOOO perfect! My husband thought I was a hero!

Grandma's Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2007
Not terribly impressed. But proabably because I used canned green beans as per recipe. Next time I will use a bag of frozen, thawed beans. Tasted very tinny to me. Personal preference though. We NEVER use canned beans. Other than the tin taste, it was good.

Oranged Cranberry Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2007
OMG! This was the BEST cranberry sauce I have ever had! I did two things differently though...I only added the 2 cups of OJ. No extra water. And, I did not add the zest--completely forgot. After the berries burst and cooked down for about 20-30 mins, I transferred them to a bowl and removed the cinnamon sticks. i could see that if I had left them in much longer, the cionnamon would be a bit overpowering. Will definately make this again next year!!!!

Cornbread Stuffing With Sausage

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2007
as per stated in several reviews, I used all cornbread (from Jiffy mix) and wasn't impressed. Reminds me of scrapple. A bit too sweet for me. Was ok, probably won't make again though.

Good, but (AAAACK!) too cheesy. Used Colby and Gouda. Was ok. MUCH better as leftovers, which are all gone already.

Day Before Mashed Potatoes

We didn't let these sit overnight as per instructions, just ate them like regular mashed potatoes. VERY good, but definately needed more salt. Could be a personal preference though.

Yummy Sweet Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2007
I opted to not add the topping, since everyone in my family loves marshmallows (YUCK!) But, the sweets underneath were SOOOOOOO good. My MIL took the majority of the leftovers home for herself. VERY GOOD RECIPE!!!!
