'Chinese Buffet' Green Beans

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2012
I made these for my husband and they tasted just like the green beans at the Chinese buffet. I am now going to make them for Thanksgiving. No more green bean casserole for me!!

Perfect Turkey

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2010
I have been making my turkeys brest side dowe (1/2 cooking time) for years. I tried the brine last year after seeing it on alton brown. I really like the idea of adding the wine to the pan and the butter (new ideas for me) so I will def add this to my turkey this year. I read one of the reviews say the turkey fell apart when they turned it over. Yes you cooked it too long. Do not follow the time on the recipe. Go by the time of your turkey size. cook on the breast 1/2 to 2/3 done then flip. I will be very hot and you are going to mess up some kitchen towels doing it but oh so worth it.

Firecracker Grilled Alaska Salmon

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2009
I made this last night and it was a big hit!!! I followed the recipe, but marinated it over night like some said in their reviews. I broiled it (no grill in a hurricane :). I used the marinade to make a sauce, I added a 1/2 cup of wine and reduced it by 1/2 then added butter and heavy cream. The cream cut the heat just a little and gave the sauce a wonderful light flavor... I will be making this again for sure!!!!

Italian Style Meatloaf I

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2009
I made this last night and my husband went crazy for it!!! I did change one thing. I did not add the ketchup and it came out very moist. I think with the ketchup or any sauce it would be too soupy. I added just a touch of the cheese to the top and let it brown the last 10 min of cooking. My husband said he does not want any other meatloaf again :) Jo
