About this Cook
Very happily married to a wonderful man. We created the "Bailey Bunch" when we got married with his four and my two kids (5 boys and 1 girl). Until recently, five children still lived with us. (We are down to two plus our 3 year old granddaughter now.) Three days out of the year, their ages go in order (20, 21, 22, 23 and 24). Although the most challenging times, when they were all in their teens, it was also a blast. We have often said that we should have had our own reality show with hidden cameras in the house. It would be a hit!
My favorite things to cook
Desserts, sweets and treats of any kind. I love to search AR for less traditional desserts and prepare them. I love Pavlova and Kuchen!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter dinner. Due to the number of kids, we host all holidays and celebrations here for the entire family (no one else is crazy enough to invite all 10 of us to their home!) We also have a huge dinner every Sunday. All the children, their friends, boyfriend, girlfriends, my dad, father-in-law, everyone is included and expected to be here. This is a family tradition from my childhood.

Simple Orange Glaze
I have used this sooo many times.... and it is perfect. Adjust the sugar or juice to make it as thin or thick as needed. This time I replaced the orange zest and juice with lemon. I have also done lime. Love it! Thanks for sharing!

Hot Italian Sausage and Shrimp with Asiago Grits
This is very good. Dad can not do spicy so I used Mild Italian Sausage and it worked great. Followed the recipe except for the sausage and everyone commented that they really liked it. The only change I will make next time is to add more cheese to the grits. They lacked just a little in flavor. Overall, a great dinner that we will enjoy again and again.

Fruit-Filled White Cake
5 Stars for the cake portion (I used a different filling). This is the best white cake recipe I have used. I will turn to this when I need a white cake for any occassion. Thanks for sharing!
