I am a veteran of the United
States Navy. I have my mother to thank for my abitlity in the kitchen, her motto is "everybody, i don't care who you are, should know how to cook." And I think that this is a good idea.
My favorite things to cook
It relly depends on what I feel like cooking a the time. But I love to bake.
My favorite family cooking traditions
The big family dinners for Thanksgiving, Chistmas, etc.
My cooking triumphs
Nothing that I can think of...although I did have to get very creative when I lived in the barracks. We were not allowed a stove or hot plates I had a chicken carcass and I made chicken soup in the microwave. Came out pretty good too.
My cooking tragedies
I just moved into my current house and I turned on the oven, I was making pizza. Well I forgot that it was a brand new stove and I forgot to take every thing out of the stove. Needless to say I almost burned the house down, we got the oven cleaned out and everything settled. I still haven't lived it down yet.
