I love these beans. I throw ingredients in my crockpot and let cook overnight and they mash up perfectly. I also add salt towards the end of cooking.

Enchilada Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2011
I gave 4 stars because of the pulp prep on this. Like many other reviewers, I just seeded, removed stems, and toasted on comal before soaking. No problems with color. For bitterness, add a little sugar till its to your liking.

I literally made these on my lunch break. So quick and easy and they were delicious. I made them for salad, but everyone ended up eating them like candy, so I'm gonna have to make another batch. TFS

Lentil Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2010
The base recipe is very good. My minor changes were omitting spinach and vinegar as I had neither on hand. I also added a couple cubes of beef broth cubes and 1/8 of homemade chili powder. I always add a little chili powder to my soups. TFS...I've always wanted to make lentil soup.

Sour Cream Pork Chops

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2010
Easy recipe for a mom on the go. Started this on my lunch break and was ready by the time I got home. The kids loved it. I thought the flavors were fine so long as you season your chops they way you like. We ate with california blend veggies and brown rice. (didn't have time for mashed potatoes).

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2010
This is quick & no fuss and full of flavor. I make my own enchilada sauce and chili powder, add my sisters salsa and a can of black beans and pinto beans. Everyone raves about the aroma it gives off too. Good enough to eat in 100 degree weather...which is what it is here in LA this week.

Movie Star Popcorn

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2010
I love popcorn this way, I don't even do micro popcorn anymore. I even sneak it into the movie theater. This is just right for my new healthy lifestyle. Sometimes I just use spray butter for flavor. Thanks.

Easy Italian Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2010
Needed a quick chicken recipe for some legs I got on sale this week. I originally had poured some Italian dressing over them in the fridge but didn'tg have time to BBQ. thsi receipe was handy. next time I won't marinade the chicken because it produced a lot of liquid. Didn't have red peper flakes and I'm sure it would have been better with them.

Basic Crepes

Reviewed: May 2, 2010
I've always wanted to try making crepes and this was a great recipe to start with. I used (for 1st time) white whole wheat flour, so I ended up using a little more milk (2%) and water. Still came out great!! My husband wanted his crepes a little more "wet" looking, so I cooked his in butter. Will so use this over and over.

Just got this out of the oven and boy is this bird moist. I think I even left in the oven a little to long. Seasoning is very flavorful and penetrated all of the meat. Thanks for this easy and tasty recipe. this is one even my older kids can make.

Garlic Prime Rib

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2009
5 stars for flavor and 4 stars for cooking time - I'm glad I read reviews first on cooking time. I baked it at the 20 min/lb scale w/ a 9.5 bone in rib eye. It came out medium, so I think I'll scale that back a little and double the marinade to put all over the roast. This will be my new holiday specialty, thanks!

Caramel Popcorn

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2009
My son needed caramel popcorn for school tomorrow, so I'm trying this recipe for the first time. I went with all of reviewer "Patracina's" recommendations and it was no fail. I should have looked at more tips, but I'm doing this last minute. I put my popcorn in a big plastic bag and drizzled a little caramel at a time till i think i coated pretty good and it was good like that. I'm baking in the oven and i'm sure it will be better when it cools. Thanks for the recipe!
