About this Cook
I'm a basic long time cook but I'm a new bride learning and experimenting with gluten free and kosher cooking. Being single was easy as people almost always ask you over for Shabbat & Holiday meals. But now that I'm married I need and want to cook good healthy kosher and gluten-free food for my husband and myself.
My favorite things to cook
Cholent with smoked turkey. Curried chickpea salad - thanks Miriam G.! Vinegar coleslaw
My cooking triumphs
Braiding a six strand challah.
My cooking tragedies
Matzah balls.

Gourmet Tuna Salad
I didn't use the sour cream and it was still delicious.

Cauliflower Soup
Fabulous recipe. I didn't change any of the ingredients but I did purée about half of the soup in a blender after it was finished cooking. It was a lovely creamy texture but still had bits and pieces of vegetables in it too. Delicious!

Butternut Squash Soup II
A yummy and delicious recipe and a definite keeper! Thanks for sharing it! I did change the butter to olive oil so it would be a parave soup to serve with meat. I've also used sweet potatoes when I didn't have plain potatoes and that was even better.
