I live in a small town with my high school sweetheart and our two wonderful kids. One of which will be graduating this year! It's all about family in this house!
My favorite things to cook
I love to try anything new, even if it does not exactly turn out haha. We love to grill everything! Love steak, fajitas, burgers, green chili, and wild game!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love having our Prime Rib on Christmas. I also love our huge family Thanksgiving. Of course there is always an abundance of food that none of our families could ever possibly eat, but there is nothing better than getting stuffed with the family. We have over 30 people every year, two to three turkeys, a ham, mashed potatoes, candied yams, tons of salads, about 20 different pies and desserts, relish trays, cheese and fruit trays, and my husband always makes us remember the corn, and the antacids of course! Good times indeed!
My cooking triumphs
When I can make a really perfect looking and tasting birthday cake for someone in my family, I consider that a triumph!
My cooking tragedies
Oh my, I have had quite a few of those over the years! I would say my worst ever would have to be the first time I tried to make biscuits. The only other thing that always bothers me is that I can never get my gulosh to taste quite like my dad's no matter how perfect I follow his recipe. I think maybe he is leaving something out on purpose so he can still make it for me ;)
