About this Cook
I blog over at Dumb Blonde in the Kitchen -
My favorite things to cook
Anything fast, cheap and easy! I also enjoy cooking for the freezer, it's become a way of life for us.
My cooking triumphs
It had to have been the time that my husband (a strictly meat and potatoes guy) and I decided to be vegetarians for one week. It was a huge success, and he developed a renewed taste for veggies. He's more open minded about cuisine now, I think, because of that.
My cooking tragedies
I cannot multi-task. Recently I baked a chocolate cake for my husband's birthday, and made the mistake of trying to manage what my son was doing at the same time. As a result, I forgot to add sugar to the cake. It was vile. Trust me. LOL

Hard Candy
So much fun to make and see the results, but definitely needs flavor. A tablespoon of raspberry extract did nothing, and we did wait until it stopped boiling to add it. Will try the kool-aid next time as other reviewers have suggested!

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies
Wonderful! I did what another reviewer suggested and added an extra cup of sugar and an extra teaspoon of vanilla. I also rolled the dough out on parchment paper using powdered sugar instead of flour on the surfaces, my hands and on the rolling pin - otherwise, yes, the dough is quite sticky. But that's what makes these taste so good and have such great texture. If I rolled them thin, they were delightfully crunchy. Thicker, and they were chewy. Great either way, if you ask me. We'll be decorating them with icing and sprinkles tomorrow. I will definitely make these again. Soooooo good!

Seafood Salad III
Definitely too much dressing, I cut everything in half and added it to 12 oz. of imitation crab. VERY delicious! I'll make this again!
