Sloppy Joe Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2007
YUUUM!! I LOVED this recipe as did my husband and picky 2 yr old. We aren't fans of pepper and big chunks of onion so this was perfect for us. I like lots of flavor and this was tangy/sweet/savory all in one! I did take the suggestion of another reviewer and added the tsp of vinegar and of chili powder. This is definately a keeper!!!

Kay's Shortbread

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2007
Just what I was craving! Rich and buttery, not too sweet. For those complaining it isn't sweet enough, true shortbread isn't supposed to be very sweet. I thought this recipe was perfect and the confectioners sugar makes it melt in your mouth!

White Texas Sheet Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2007
Sooooo good. I've been looking forever for a recipe like this! If you love almond extract this is for you. The cake is so tender and moist, and the icing is a perfect compliment. A very small slice is enough to satisfy any sweet tooth.

Peanut Butter Bars IV

Reviewed: May 24, 2007
I was pretty disappointed in this recipe. Very dry (too little butter too much egg??). I don't know it was just weird. I didn't have choc. chips so made without, but don't think that effected it that much. Won't make again.

Balsamic Tortellini

Reviewed: May 4, 2007
I think the 9oz bag tortellini is a typo? The 19 oz bag lists as being for 4 servings on the bag. Anyways, I used the 19 oz bag and it turned out wonderful. Didn't have any bacon so left that out. Added a little garlic and Italian seasoning for something extra. Good recipe that you can play with.

Cola Pork Chops

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2007
This is pretty tasty and very easy to make with just a few readily available items! I also recommend covering chops in flour and some seasonings (salt pepper garlic powder..whatever you like) and browning then putting in oven. Also when you are mixing the ketchup/soda mixture..let it sit in the bowl after mixing for a few minutes, it thickens and makes a thicker overall sauce when cooked.

Greek Spaghetti II

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2007
Well, it's just what you'd think, pasta, butter, cheese. And I am NOT complaining..I really liked it! Good for when you don't feel like having red sauce. just paired with a good green salad to balance it out.

Fantastic! No need for the store bought packets anymore! I didn't have paprika, and it was delicious without.

Brown Sugar Chops

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2007
Loved the flavor of the glaze! I sprinkled a little salt/pepper/garlic powder on the chops before adding the sugar and butter for some extra flavor. Only complaint is the glaze is very runny and doesn't really adhere to the chop, you just have to spoon it over the top afterwards. But, will probably be making this again. Thanks!

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cake Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2006
Pretty yummy! I like my cookies really soft so only baked about 8-9 mins in my oven. The catch with these cookies as others have mentioned is they are MUCH better when completely cooled (like the next day), weird taste when warm and I was really disappointed, but the next day YUM-O!

Sarah's Salsa

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2004
This is the best salsa I've ever had! My husband and I don't like really chunky salsa and this is perfect because you can blend it to your liking. I love cilantro and garlic so it was perfect for me. I also added an extra clove of garlic and a little more hot pepper sauce. EXCELLENT!
