Tomato-Cream Sauce for Pasta

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2006
I enjoyed the ease of this recipe. I added some diced bell peppers and some left-over chicken and went a little heavy-handed with the spices the second time I made it. I think this is a great recipe, and it's easy to adjust to personal tastes.

Cranberry Orange Loaf

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2009
I think the leavening used for this recipe may be too much. I made this loaf twice; the first time I followed the exact recipe and instructions. The flavor was nice, however, the loaf just didn't rise according to my expectations. The second time, I adjusted the baking powder to 1/2 teaspoon, and left the salt and soda as they were. The loaf came out with a nice dome and was much more attractive. I had the same results with muffins as well.

Cream Cheese Tart Shells

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2007
I agree with some of the previous reviewers that said the dough was a bit greasy. I made mini tart shells for chocolate mousse cups, but I modified the recipe a bit by adding a teaspoon of vanilla, 1/2 c confection sugar and upped the cream cheese to 4 oz as well as the flour to 1 1/2 cups. The results were quite good. I also dusted my counter top with confection sugar rather than rolling with flour, just a matter of preference when using sweetened dough. A great recipe, but not quite perfect.

Best Lemonade Ever

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2005
This is a great recipe, a little over-sweet for my tastes. I have used the recipe twice now, and the second time, lessened the sugar to 1 cup and found it to be much more enjoyable.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2014
This is a great recipe but not perfect. What?? No cinnamon, no nutmeg?? It's a great place to start and makes a wonderful pie filling but you need to experiment with the spices. I ended up adding 2 t cinnamon and 1/2 t nutmeg to the sauce and that seems to work well for me and my family.
