Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2012
Extremely good. Didn't have gin so substituted Rum. Cooked in a slow cooker on high for 3 hours then grilled 30 minutes before the super boal to finish them off.

Great, simple recipe for a base "baked spagetti" . Kids loved it, easy leftovers too.

Apple Puff Pancake

Sorry wouldn't make it again. Suggest taking people's ideas in the reviews. I'm a stickler with making "as is" the first time, but the consistency of this dish just isn't worth trying out alternatives. Kids liked it.

Chipotle-Citrus Marinated Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2009
This was really good, marinated over night. The chipotle issue must be a taste preference, my whole family couldn't even detect any spice at all.

Crispy Herb Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2009
Only gave it a 3 because it truly lacks spices. This is a great base idea with lots of room for tweaking.

Garlic and Ranch Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2009
Made it as written, without the breadcrumbs. Yes after you add the egg it seems to fall apart. Mix it, make the patties, put them in the fridge for a couple hours and you should be good to go.

Slow Cooker Barbecue Beef

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2009
As written requires some modification to liven it up. Added BBQ sauce towards the end just to give it a "BBQ" taste. Good base though.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2009
Did it exactly as described , but added 1 extra can of cream of chicken. Because it evaporated some after I cooked it for 8+ hours. Put Grand's homestyle buscuits in around 1.5 hours before we ate it.

Heavenly Potatoes and Ham

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2009
Made as described but with slightly more ham. Huge amount of food! Agree with someone's previous comment that it was like a baked potatoe. Next time I'll add more cheese and more soup.

Was dry and the sauce wasn't very strong at all. Probly won't try it again with any variation...made me shrimped out.

Julia's Easy Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2003
Ive tried this two ways now. The first time was by the instructions, it turned out absolutely disgusting and had to throw it all away. The 2nd way was after reviewing other people's comments...changed it like this: 1 cup water instead of milk Cream of chicken instead of cream of mushroom 5 chicken breasts Did not add cornstarch. Now this turned out really well and I'll make it again - but I don't consider this the same recipe, so leaving my rating at 1.

Slow Cooker Chili

Drained the beans like others did. Added tons of chili powder and even some texas pete to try to get it spicier...good recipe for a base - will make it again with some adjustments
