Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2007
Great pot pie! Very easy, I made individual pies- each person had their own little pie- everyone loved it, especially the kids! Used my favorite pie crust and followed the recipe exactly. Will definitely make these again!

Martian Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2007
These are great cookies! I memory from my childhood on the farm. If you have picky kids, just peel the zucchini before shredding it. Then there won't be any green shreds- They won't be true martian cookies though, but then the kids won't know there's zucchini in them!

Fabulous Foolproof Lasagna

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2007
A really easy lasagna recipe. I love not having to cook the noodles before hand. I used ground beef and mixed it in with the sauce, added some parmesan cheese, and ended up baking it for one hour and 10 minutes. Yum!!

Ricardo's Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2006
I have tried so many homemade pizza crusts, but this one is definitely the best!! So easy to make too. I made to medium size pizza's- one really thin, the other thicker. Both turned out great. This is the one I'll make from now on!!

Corn Bread Loaf

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2006
I really like this recipe because it makes a small amount of corn bread- perfect for our small family. It tasted good too! It wasn't very sweet even after I doubled the sugar, so next time I'll triple it- I just like my cornbread sweet though. I will make this cornbread again!

Poppy Seed Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2006
My whole family loved these. Used muffin cups so they didn't stick. I just used a powdered sugar/orange juice glaze though- which tasted great. The muffins were dense and moist, just like made-from-scratch muffins are supposed to taste!

Stuffed Green Peppers I

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2006
This recipe was great- replaced an old family favorite!! I love the use of tomato soup- adds more I think. I did not use canned tomatoes, just added a bit of the tomato soup and water mix. Also, no onion- picky eaters! I just loved them, so I took a picture to share- check it out under the pictures!

Powdered Sugar Cookies III

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2006
These cookies were good- I much prefer the butter recipe better. These are not very sweet, even with sugar sprinkled on top. Still, they were crisp and the kids ate them up!

Cornish Game Hens with Rice Stuffing

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2006
This was the first time I made cornish game hens. Wow, this recipe was so good! Very easy to prepare and it tasted great too! The meat was tender and the skin on the hens was golden brown and crispy, we almost didn't want to eat them- they looked so pretty! I will definitely make this recipe again!!

Golden Sweet Cornbread

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2006
Great cornbread! I always place 2 T. of butter in glass 8 in. square pan (after greasing the pan), place in oven until butter is sizzling, then pour the batter in and finish baking- it makes a nice crunchy outside to your cornbread!

Grandma's Lemon Meringue Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2005
This was a great pie! If you want really strong lemon flavor, don't use lemon juice from concentrate, use fresh squeezed. I used concentrate and it didn't have a very strong lemon flavor. I loved that the lemon filling was so thick though, not runny at all! I will definitely make this again! Yum!

Banana Cream Pie III

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2005
This recipe was great! Like others, I also used one banana instant pudding and one vanilla. Not at all runny, very creamy and slightly firm pudding. Everyone loved it!

Chicken Marsala with Basil and Mushroom

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2005
This recipe was really good. Only complaint would be that there isn't a lot of sauce if you want to serve with pasta. I doubled the marsala and still seemed a bit short on sauce- it really cooks down. The sauce is very rich though so not much is needed in the end. A very tasty chicken marsala recipe though.

Asian Beef with Snow Peas

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2005
Good recipe. I nice basic recipe for stir fry. I did as others stated and doubled the sauce mixture, but I found it was way to saucy for my taste. Next time I will just follow the recipe as is.

Blueberry Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2005
Yummy recipe. Have made this twice, once I added an extra two T. of corn starch as others stated- turned out perfect. The other time I realized I was out of cornstarch, so I substituted 8 T. of all-purpose flour- again it turned out great. So easy!

Creamy Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2005
This was a good recipe! I forgot to add the last 1/2 cup of milk with the eggs so it was a little thick, but still really good. I omit the raisins- don't like them. Also really good served cold with cool whip mixed in.
