Savory Venison Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2012
This recipe has great flavor and the sauce is magnificent! We cooked it with the sauce on it, adding only one 4 oz. packet of whole wheat crackers, and used a small bit of onion salt instead of the whole onion. FIVE STARS!!!

Baked Corn Pudding

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2011
This recipe needs to be made with more thickening agents. I made it and it was very liquidy, and yes, I drained the corn first. Also, the cook time had to be increased to an hour.

West Tennessee Corn Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2011
This recipe is okay. I could really taste the mayo in it. If I did it again, I would probably tone down the mayo, add some butter, and add a little flour instead of a little bit of the cornmeal. But it really isn't bad.

Amusement Park Cornbread

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2011
I really like this recipe! When making it, I decreased it by half, and made it into 6 cupcakes, so the serving size was 2/3 original. However I also accidently put double the salt in. Wow was the mixture salty!!! So I added some sugar to compensate. The result? Amazingness! Buttery, salty and sweet! It's texture is also really good, not to crumbly at all!

Amish White Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2011
This bread is okay, however I personally don't prefer white bread. The recipe by itself, makes a dense flavorless bread (in my opinion). However, in making 2 loaves, I changed 1 cup of flour for a cup of corn meal, and another cup of flour out for a cup of instant potatoe flakes. I cannot begin to say how good this bread is! Based on the original recipe, even the first two times I made it, both time I found it to get two dry. I only realized later it needed less flour. None the less, the addition of the bread flakes and corn meal gave it some real nice flavor and texture! :)

Dark Chocolate Cake II

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2011
I have used this recipe twice now, once for a rectangular cake, another for a smaller cake. Both really moist and rich. However, as with even the picture on the top of this recipe, it seems to have trouble rising in the middle. Does anyone know why?
