Key Lime Pie VII

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2008
I've now made it with actual key lime juice that I juiced myself, and with just plain old lime juice in a plastic lime-shaped container. Both times it was delicious!

Chinese Sizzling Rice Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2008
This recipe is always delicious! When I make it at home, I use seitan instead of chicken and shrimp. I made it the other day with chicken and shrimp, but I didn't do the cornstarch and egg thing. I've done it both ways and they are both delicious. I never use anywhere near the amount of oil in the recipe, nor do I ever add mushrooms. I use baby corns instead, and snow peas instead of green beans. It's tasty every time and every way I do it!

Spinach Marie

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2008
I made this dish for an office pitch-in. It was solidly good, and I felt good about making it from scratch without any highly processed ingredients. I like my food a little more interesting, though, so next time, I will add something to give a little more zip - some more garlic salt and some hot sauce, probably - but I did have someone ask for the recipe, so it went over pretty well as is. I did make it straight from the recipe this time.

Nime Chow (Raw Spring Rolls)

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2005
We used avocado instead of shrimp and spinach for our leafy green, with carrots and cucumbers also. So yummy! Thanks for a great recipe!

Mock Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2005
This really did work. I'm still learning to like tofu, and this made it much less mushy and nicer to eat. Thanks for the tip! (Oh, and I left in the freezer way longer than 72 hours and it still worked fine)

Baked Spinach Artichoke Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2004
I read the reviews before cooking, so I added a little half and half and a little skim milk to try to make it a little more creamy. I appreciate the recipes for this dish with no mayo, cream cheese or sour cream, and found this one to be tasty and a hit with my family. I also added some red pepper to spice it up. It is indeed best when very warm, reheated just fine, and I advise using a spoon to dish onto your chip or pita, as it is pretty thick. Thanks for the recipe!

Babe Ruth Bars

Made these with youth group kids who were pretty wound up and not too dilligent about measuring. We tripled it to make a whole bunch. They are so yummy! We all made ourselves a little sick eating the "defective" squares : ) Thanks for such an easy and delicious recipe!

Fudge Bonbons

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2004
We made this recipe with kids and used Rollos instead of Kisses. It was easy and delicious and the stirring wasn't too bad. The Rollos are a little hard to bite in half when they've cooled, so I wish I had gone with the Kisses. Either way, this was an easy and fabulous dessert!

Taste of Home's Pasta Primavera

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2003
We enjoyed this recipe very much, and it was very quick and easy. We added two extra cloves of garlic, used cream of chicken soup (we're not mushroom fans), I think we also used less pasta (measuring pasta is always challenging to me) and with that and a little salt and pepper it was very good! Thanks for this great idea.
