Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes
We really liked this recipe. I only rated it 4 stars because like other reviews I did not like the onion slices in the center. The next time that I made it I thinly minced about 1/2 of a large onion and mixed throughout with the potatoes, and added a cracker crumb topping to the dish before I baked it. The mix was just 3/4 cup crushed Ritz crackers with 3Tb melted butter. For the last 15 minutes I removed the foil to brown the topping. This is an easy and great side dish with any meal. Thanks Cathy !!!

Canned Apple Pie Filling
The headspace on this is completly wrong !!! I filled the headspace to the half inch required and when they came out of the canner they were exploding from thier jars . Resulting in a very nasty burn ! Keep it to an inch and up the spices and lower the required water to 8 1/2 cups. DO NOT USE CORNSTARCH !! Order clear gel from the intranet, cornstarch is not recommended by the USDA. Be sfe and avoid burns and botulism !!!!

World's Best Lasagna
I have made this many times pretty much as the recipe is written and it is AMAZING!! My husband and his family are pure blooded Italians and even they are truly impressed with this dish. Thank you so much John for this fantastic recipe. The only change that I made was to soak the noodles in hot water rather than boiling as another cook as suggested , time saver that does not change the taste at all.
