Pizza Dough I

Very easy. I added italian seasoning to the flour but other than that made it exactly as is. Even our picky 5 year old loved it.

Exquisite Pizza Sauce

Reviewed: May 7, 2010
Fantastic pizza sauce. I only had tomato sauce on hand so I converted it to paste by pouring it into a pan, and heating until It reduced by half. While it was heating I put all of the other ingrediants to simmer with the sauce. It turned out really great. I used the "Pizza Dough I" recipe from this site and it complimented the sauce very well. I will be making this again and again. Thank you, Angie for your recipe.

Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2010
These are my family's absolute favorite pancakes. We've tried several from this site and this is THE one we use! It helped me to read reviews that suggested to let the milk sit for awhile and that the batter is supposed to be thick. We love them so much we make a double batch and the recipe still holds up. I tried using wheat flour and it did work so well. Anyone have suggestions on how to tweak this recipe and use wheat flour?

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2009
Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous! I made some modifications to suit our tastes better. Here's what I did. I used half wheat flour half white flour; apple juice instead of water; half white sugar half brown sugar; half oil half apple sauce. I also added 1 cup chopped walnuts. This was perfect! I don't know how to write a kissing sound like the Italians do when something is magnificent but if I did I would. Even my picky 5 year old asked for seconds.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Excellent recipe. Thank you very much. I used leftovers in my fridge which included bacon, baked potato and mushrooms. We left out the milk. My husband raved about it. Definitely a keeper. Thanks again.

Satay Chicken Pizza

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2009
This pizza was such a hit that our guests asked for the recipe. We used the Thai style peanut sauce with honey recipe from this site which was fabulous. I forgot to buy the green onions so I cooked the chicken with red onions instead and it was delicious. We also grated the cheese. I cooked two cookie sheets of pizzas at the same time using our new convection oven. Cooking it that way didn't require as much time and I was able to serve all the guests at the same time.

Thai-Style Peanut Sauce with Honey

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2009
I made two batches. One for those who don't like spicey (leaving out the chilis) and one for others who like spicey. I also mixed it up using our Vita-Mix blender. Using the blender worked out great because it cooked the sauce a little bit and made it very smooth so much so that it almost looked like caramel. I used the sauce for the Satay Chicken Pizza recipe I got from this site and they were the perfect compliments. Our guests loved the dinner so much they asked for the recipe.

Dump Cake III

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2008
We LOVED this cake. I had only a short time to come up with a dessert and wanted to use ingredients I had handy. Sooo, I used a raspberry pie filling instead of apple. I also used 1/2 wheat flour and 1/2 white flour. Another substitution was 1/2 white sugar and 1/2 brown sugar. The cake turned out perfectly. I baked it in a Pampered Chef 13x9 baker and it made the sides a little crunchy which we liked. The walnuts actually made the cake taste a little more like a sweet bread than cake. But it was delicious. The FROSTING was absolutely perfect the way the recipe called for. I going to use it now for my standard in frosting. It was so easy, made just enough and cheaper than store bought. Thanks so much for submitting this recipe. We really enjoyed it and so did our guests.

Cream Cheese Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2006
Oh my gosh!!! These are melt-in-your-mouth delicious. I read all the reviews before I made this recipe. I decided to just make it "AS DIRECTED" though. I usually cannot resist tweaking every recipe "just a little". Boy am I glad I left this one alone. I found I had the best results when I used my airbake cookie sheets and baked them more toward the 7-7 1/2 minute time frame. I'm having a hard time leaving any for others to taste. Thanks, Karin, for this wonderful recipe.

Chicken-and-Pasta Bake with Basil

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2006
This was delicious. I followed the suggestion of another reviewer and put in a smidge of red pepper flakes, added some cajun spice but I did skip the basil (mostly because we didn't have any on hand). I did not pre-cook the chicken or the pasta as there was plenty of liquid in the milk and cheese. It turned out perfect. I also cooked the garlic and all the spices in with the cheese sauce.

Best Brownies

Fabulous recipe! As I do in all recipes, I changed it a little to suit my family's taste buds. I added 1/3 cup Jiffy peanut butter and 1/2 cup walnuts. Then I stirred 1/2 package Hershey's mini chocolate kisses into the batter and put the remaining kisses on top of the batter. Making it this way there was no need for frosting. It was a hit. Thanks so much.

Pumpkin Gingerbread

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2005
This is a wonderful recipe as is. However, I took the advise of a few others and used some substitutions... I used apple cider instead of water, substituted 1 cup brown sugar for white, used 1 cup whole wheat flour for white and omitted the allspice (just because I didn't have any at the time) but doubled the ginger, cinnamon and cloves. It was so good that I had requests for the recipe. I took this loaf to church for a bake sale and it was all gone. To top it off, I also frosted with white canned frosting from Betty Crocker.

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

This is a fantastic recipe. I've used it many times on chicken breasts and on beef. It is one of our family's all time favorites. My husband is a garlic fiend so we add at least 5 cloves of garlic which makes it perfect for us. Thank you for sharing this one!

Grandma's Pork Chops in Mushroom Gravy

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2004
We buy pork chops in bulk and I'm always looking for a good way to cook them. This recipe was delicious. I didn't have sherry or beef broth on hand so I substituted apple juice and chicken broth. It turned out fabulous. Also to make it more of a meal, I added broccoli to the gravy. I served it all on a bed of rice. We'll be using this one again and again. Thank you.
