Can't Tell They're Low-fat Brownies

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2010
Good overall recipe! Modified just a bit with a couple tablespoons of butter instead of vegetable oil and applesauce in place of prunes. And then of course, chocolate chips sprinkled in the batter don't hurt anything. Definitely make again to satisfy a sweet craving!

Red Skinned Potato Salad

Reviewed: May 28, 2007
It was okay - but great after substitutions. I left out the celery and onion. Replaced half of the mayo with sour cream and added yellow mustard and a little sugar (to taste) to the dressing.

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2007
Awesome! I cooked chicken breasts ahead of time and threw everything in a crockpot on a low setting. I also used half ranch and half blue cheese dressing as was recommended by others. To eliminate the lumps from the cream cheese, I first put cream cheese, ranch and blue cheese dressings in the crock pot, heated them slightly, then added the chicken, hot sauce and cheese. Thanks for the great recipe!

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2003
Beautiful cheesecake! This turned out great with only one crack that was barely noticable. I did not bake it in a water bath, but put a roasting pan with water in a pan right below it. I also made a strawberry glaze and added some strawberry slices to the top. I will definitely make again!

Chocolate Pecan Pie I

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2003
Overall, it was a good recipe. But it made way too much filling. I used a frozen 9 inch pie crust and could have made two pies from one batch of filling. Also it was very chocolaty. If I make it again, I may experiment with different types of chocolate, like a bittersweet baking bar, to try and cut back on some of the sweetness.

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2003
These were great cookies, but they do not have as strong of a peanut butter flavor as I was expecting. I added a few chocolate chips to half of the batch and they turned out wonderfully!

Great cake! Do not overbake, cake will dry out. I used the chocolate cream cheese frosting found on this website and they were wonderful together!

Chocolate Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2003
Great recipe! Will definitely use again. My only problem was putting in a couple extra teaspoons of milk and getting a frosting that was a little too thin. I used this on the Hershey's best chocolate cake and it was wonderful!

A little too sweet for our taste, even when cutting back on the brown sugar, but overall very good, for meatloaf.

The crust had way too much nutmeg and the filling was okay, nothing special. Still on the hunt for a better tasting cheesecake.

Great recipe! I also followed others suggestions and substituted 1/2 of the vegetable oil with cinnamon flavored applesauce and added nutmeg. It was a big hit.
