Beef and Biscuit

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2005
I tweaked this a bit as well, I used cheddar and mozerella cheeses, adding 3/4 cup to the meat mixture. I also added 1 1/2 cans tomato sauce. The chili pepper and sour cream were wonderful. Instead of can biscuits, I made my own, split the dough in half, rolled out the first half pressed, it into the bottom of an 8 1/2x11" glass pan, then added the meat mixture, more moz. cheese over the meat, then rolled out the second half of dough, pressed it over, added the chedd. and moz mixture over the top, then drizzled the remaining of the second can of tomato sauce over the top. Baked for 25 min, and when it came out it looked like a magazine cover. It was awesome! The crust, top and bottom turned out perfect. The husband said it was so so good and is a keeper for sure!

Best No-Bake Cheesecake

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2005
I wish I would've read some of the reviews before trying this recipe. I couldn't get it to set up either. The flavor was a little bland, so I too added xtra sugar, and some vanilla, plus a bit more lemon juice. It just wouldn't set up, was very soft. But, that flavor turned out great with xtra additions. My squeeze didn't care that it needed eaten with a spoon, it tasted so good. Don't think I'll try this one again tho.

Delicious Raspberry Oatmeal Cookie Bars

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2004
Oh, I didn't think these were good at all. My boyfriend, who says sweets are a food group, took one bite and put it down, and I couldn't bribe him to eat anymore. My kids politely each ate one, but I pretty much have to throw the whole thing out. It was dry and crumbly, the crust had no flavor, and the raspberry jam was overwhelming. I'm sad that I wasted all those indredients, I made two batches for a fishing trip the next day, and we stopped for a bag of cookies on the way out of town. Big bummer.

Ultimate Twice Baked Potatoes

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2004
If your trying to eat low fat, low calarie, this is not the thing to be eating, but boy are they worth straying off a diet for. My daughter doesn't like potatoes as a rule, but she really liked these, which was thrilling. As others suggested, I rubbed the skins with olive oil, and the outsides turned out soft and perfect. I also added some regular onion to the flesh, and didn't have green onion, so I used chives. They were easier to make than I thought they would be, and they are rich, so a little goes a long way. With 4 kids and a husband, it's almost impossible to find something that they all like, but these were a hit with everyone!

Hamburger Cheese Bake

Reviewed: May 8, 2003
I gave it 5 stars, because, with a little adjusting, it will be perfect. Definately needs more sauce, and I think more hamburger, like a pound and a half. Also, I think the green pepper needs to cooked with the hamburger and onion. Other than that, wow! what a great meal! Awesome flavor. And you can do many variations with it, adding your personal favorites....it's virtually impossible to screw this up!

Crumby Potatoes

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2003
This was not at all what I thought it would be. It needs the salt cut in half, and the texture on the outside didn't quite mesh well with the texture on the inside. My honey loves potatoes, and he had some of these left on his plate. That said it all. Will not make these again.
