Cut-Out Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2014
Excellent flavor with the almond paste. Chilled overnight and rolles out cold dough. Cookies still spread more than I liked. I plan to add 1/2 cup flour next time.

Pumpkin Pecan Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2011
I took the suggestion below and substituted maple syrup for the corn syrup which worked well. Very easy to make recipe. Baking time also took longer than expected - total of 1 hour. IMO, I think I'd rather have either pumpkin pie or pecan pie rather than the two mixed together. Just my personal preference.

Unbelievable Fish Batter

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2009
We thought this was WAAAAY too thick, even when adding 1/4 cup water, as suggested above. For some reason it was not "thinly-coated and crispy", but thick-coated with more batter than fish and somewhat greasy (even with the fat hot enough).

Bread Pudding

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2009
For me, this recipe also has too much custard to bread ratio. I added more bread and also some cinnamon. Love the sauce! Brown sugar instead of white for the sauce makes a wonderful dark, rich caramel.

David's Secret Ingredient Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: May 9, 2007
Great! The texture is perfect, slightly crispy and yet soft. The 4 1/2 cups of crispy rice yielded more than a cup of ground powdered cereal. For me, it made 4 dozen cookies.

Almond Chocolate Biscotti

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2006
When I mixed the ingredients up, the dough was so dry it crumbled, so I had to add a little water. I thought the recipe was OK. I should have baked these a little longer than recommended because they weren't quite crisp enough (probaby b/c of the water!).

Gingerbread Biscotti

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2006
I thought that the dough was hard to work with. Definitely grease the cookie sheets and your hands for shaping the dough. It was very sticky! However, the end product was quite tasty. I also took previous reviewer's suggestion and coated one side with melted white chocolate chips.

Rhubarb-Raspberry Crunch

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2006
Excellent! Great raspberry taste with only 1 cup. I also used a 9x9 pan. I will be using 2 tbsp. of tapioca next time. It was not quite thick enough for our liking.

Carrot Cake II

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2003
This is an excellent low-fat carrot cake recipe. It was a little too moist for me, but I didn't get any complaints. I added a 1/2 tsp. of salt, 1 Tbsp. wheat germ, fresh pineapple instead of canned and also some coconut. It was very tasty. I definitely couldn't tell it was low-fat.
