Pumpkin Roll I

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2011
I would give this recipe 10 stars if I could. I made it for this past Thanksgiving as an extra dessert to make things a little different this year. It turned out sooooo goood! everybody loved it, I wish I had made 3 of them, as it didn't last long at all. I made it that same morning and kept it in the fridge wrapped in plastic until ready to serve. I followed someone else's suggestion to put powdered sugar on the towel before turning it, and it did crack a little but didn't break and it didn't look bad either. Thanks for sharing. I'll be making this again very soon for a Christmas party :)

These are really easy easy and delicious! I sprinkled sugar on them after baking them while they were still warm, they were soft and tasted soo good. Sugar cookies are my fave and I always had to buy them because they never turned out well for me, until now :) thanks for sharing.

Buttercream Icing

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2012
I loved it! After reading almost every single review, I decided to stick with the original recipe of 1/2 shortening and 1/2 butter, but I used heavy whipping cream instead of milk and added a pinch of salt, also only used 3 cups of sugar because I didn't want it to be too sweet and it turned out perfect!. I also used 1/4 tsp artificial butter flavor and 1 and 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract, the clear kind.

Cream Cheese Frosting II

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2012
I made this for some cupcakes I made for a baby shower, and the taste is soo good. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it's not the best icing to decorate as it's too soft. I didn't want to add any more sugar because I liked it the way it was, not too sweet. I loved it anyways to ice the cake and filling.

Sugar Cookie Icing

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2012
I made some cookies for mother's day so my daughter could decorate them and give them to grandma as a gift. This icing was soooo good, except I didn't not like the almond taste at all, hence the 4 star rating, so I used clear vanilla extract instead and it was so good and so easy to make.

Real Strawberry Frosting

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2012
OMG! this is the best most delicious strawberry frosting in the world! and so easy to make. I only added a pinch of salt and a little more vanilla extract because it was a little too sweet for my taste, it was so goood! I used it to fill a 10" 3 layer vanilla cake and a 8" 3 layer dark chocolate cake for my daughter's birthday. Everybody had to have more :) I totally recommend it. I'm making more today to decorate some 4th of July red velvet cupcakes :) yum!

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2012
So far my favorite chocolate cake recipe. I have made other good ones before, but never got so many compliments as I did with this recipe, and it's much easier and cheaper to make. Love it! Thank you.

Best Ever Jalapeno Poppers

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2012
I made these for the heck of it, and I was a little dissapointed because I thought they were going to be a little hot. They were not hot at all :( but they tasted good anyways. I will be putting some hot sauce "salsa rosada" on top so they taste even better. Thanks for sharing!

Cream of Coconut Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2012
I followed the recipe but I added an extra egg and made a rum glaze with some coconut cream and after the cake was done I soaked the cake in it. It was just amazing!!! topped it with chocolate ganache and shredded coconut. You should try the glaze, I used the glaze recipe from the rum cake recipe on this site, but added some coconut cream to it. Thanks!

Beef Stew VI

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2012
I loved how easy this was, and it didn't take 2 hours either. I did follow someone else's advise and added a tbsp of each of ketchup, worcestershire sauce and red wine vinegar, some garlic salt, a little cumin and a little black pepper. I let it cook covered for one hour and than added the potatoes and carrots, I was out of onios and celery but it came out sooo good! Having it for dinner tonight!

Potato Chips

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2012
My kids and I loved them! it took a little longer for me, about 6-7 minutes but they came out well, nice and crispy. I just added salt after taking them out of the microwave and prep is like 10 min if you use a vegetable peal to slice them.

Tres Leches (Milk Cake)

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2013
This cake was so easy to make, no need to leave it overnight. I didn't use milk, I used heavy whipping cream 2 cups, 1 can of condensed milk and one can of evaporated milk. I also cut the sides of the cake and cut the servings in small squares after making the wholes all over the cake, and than poured the 3 milk mix on top and on the sides. The cake absorved the liquid so fast and it stayed moist. For the topping I did not use a whole cup of sugar, I used a little over 1/2 cup and it was perfect! Everybody LOVED it!! Thanks!

Baked Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2013
I make this yesterday to take to a superbowl get together and everybody, especially the men, looved it. They couldn't get enough of it. I followed the recipe except that I used ranch dressing instead and added more crumbled blue cheese than the recipe called for. It was sooo good! I wish I had left overs to pick on today.

Tiramisu Layer Cake

Reviewed: May 10, 2014
I made this for a friend's aunt for her 70th birthday party. My friend said that everyone at the party asked who made the cake, they said "it was the most delicious cake they have ever tasted". Yum! I'm going to make it again today for mother's day tomorrow. I followed another review that said to add more coffee liquor to everything :D

Raspberry Cake

Reviewed: May 30, 2014
;(I followed the recipe exactly, but the cake hardly rose, it was flat and it sank on the sides. I was making this cake for a graduation order I got and I just hope they like it. The taste is OK, but just not as good as I was expecting. I made the filling with regular heavy cream and folded fresh raspberries so it tasted a little better with the frosting. It is frustrating when a recipe with so many good reviews just doesn't come out as good for me :( I'll keep looking for a better raspberry cake recipe. thanks.
