Lemon Cupcakes

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2013
WONDERFUL. The batter was smooth and I love a cupcake that does not stick to the cupcake liner. Great taste. I did not pair with the frosting as this cupcake was being submitted into a fair. This is a keeper.

Nanna's Banana Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2013
I really like this recipe. I did add a touch more banana and it def. took more than 55-60 min. I had to go out so I shut off oven and opened the door a little and it was perfect when I came home. I like the raise of the bread and the moistness.

Amarillo Cheese Fries

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2013
Made for recipe group 7/19/13. I used fingerling potatoes sliced up. And of course extra bacon! These were wonderful. And easy enough where I left the directions for DH to make. Nice hearty side dish.

Caprese Salad with Grilled Flank Steak

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2013
Recipe Group 7/13/13. Very light and refreshing salad. The tomato mixture with the basil was delicious. Garlic was not overpowering. And the balsamic dressing was just enough with the EVOO to not need any other additional dressing. I will make this again.

Star-Spangled Burgers

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2013
Recipe Group Review 6/29/13: Weighed my burger halves and pressed them into circles and followed the recipe as is. Wonderful melt inside the burger and the taste was not overwhelming. Cooked very quickly as each side is thinner. My camera was not available but I can tell you that slicing Italian bread, also grilled, and adding a big slice of roasted Pepper sure did make a pretty burger. Its a keeper.

Lemon Nut Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2013
Really like the smell of the dough before baking and the taste afterwards too. Nice citrus light taste and a soft texture to the bite. Made these for recipe group for 6/14/13 and it is a cookie I will go to for special occasions like teas at church or someone I know loves lemon anything. I did turn the temp. down on the oven as previously stated in a review it did help get the middle done before too much browning. Still browned up but some cookies just do.

Cinnamon White Chocolate Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2013
These taste just like expensive macadamia nut cookies. Love the crunch too. Very easy recipe. Next time I will chop the white chocolate chunks bigger or use bagged white chips. The oven time was right on.

Loved this. Did not use nearly as much cornstarch. I just added until it looked coated. Wonderful flavor, would make again. Glad I tried it to say I could.

Strawberry Rhubarb Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2013
Healthy. Moist. I added more strawberries and rhubarb. Also used coconut flour instead of amaranth. I did not use vegetable oil as that is not healthy, I used coconut oil instead. Next time I will add some milk or cream to thin it out a bit more.

Beets on the Grill

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2013
Fantastic. We added the greens also. We ate the skins and all. They are very very thin and have nutrients so why not. We like the roasted taste very much. My teens loved them.

Black and White Cookies I

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2013
Made recipe as is. Nice cake like big cookies. Just like the bakeries sell as far as taste and bigness goes. I made 6" diameter cookies and this recipe made 15 cookies. Love the history on these and knowing that originally they were made from leftover cake batter.

Fresh Strawberry Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2013
Big Hit for Fellowship Coffee Hour at church. Great seasonal treat. Served warm with whipped cream. Easy to make and I didn't change anything. Not too sweet, baked up nice with strawberry juices slightly oozing, the topping was a nice change too brown sugar topping. I kept it in for 40 min and it was done to perfection.

Baked Kale Chips

These were enjoyed by all at my picnic. I would recommend keeping your pieces larger than smaller and spray olive oil lightly. Drizzling was hard to keep consistent.

Very nice rub with good flavor. I used this on a whole chicken and it helped keep the chicken moist and gave it a nice taste to the skin.

Creamy Garlic Sauce

Wonderful. Made as is and I thought it had plenty of garlic taste. I triples this recipe as I used this as a sauce for a vegetarian lasanga. Will always remember this creamy recipe to add to many more dishes!

Tomato Chicken

Reviewed: May 8, 2013
Enjoyed this easy recipe. Will be great for end of summer tomato blowout. Sure maybe a tad more spice is needed. With garlic bread on the side to soak up the juices we enjoyed. Chicken did not brown as stated before juice got going. Next time I will put chicken in first with the spices and wait on putting tomatoes in. Just to see if there is difference in something.

Easy Roasted Peppers

Delicious and easy. The skin comes off nicely and the flavor is wonderful. I cut my peppers so they would lay flat on my baking stone.
