There's a perception that living in a small town in a small county means good food is hard to come by. But - really - good food doesn't have to be different or expensive. It just has to be delicious. And with that in mind, there's a palate for every flavor.
I cook by the seat of my pants most of the time, and have only recently gotten better about writing down a recipe after I've prepared it. I have a preference for fresh meats and produce, but I'm also a working mother, so tend to have a stock of frozen
vegetables that I can pull from to make dinner in a pinch or if I'm just plain too lazy to slice and dice. I'd like to think of myself as an idealist with a healthy dose of reality.
