Sweet Hot Mustard Chicken Thighs

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2014
I used wings, and a Scotch Bonnet. I left out some of the brown sugar and added a tad of orange marmalade. The final result was great; it was a perfect appetizer for a luau.

Asian Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2014
I love ANYTHING 'Oriental' so tried this recipe, but used orange marmalade (another favorite of mine) instead of orange juice (which I find bitter), and also used some Sambol Oelek. Also, I can't stand chicken thighs, so used wings instead. The result was really good.

Simple Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2014
I didn't add the sugar and celery, added a tad of garlic salt, onion salt, red and white pepper, up the mustard to two teaspoons, and it was a winner.

Poor Man's Beer Batter Fish

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2013
AWFUL recipe and I will never use this again! The "batter" didn't fry up well at all - crumbled and burned, and had a noxious taste (sweet and greasy). From now on I'll make my own batter. I totally ruined otherwise good cod.

My Meatloaf

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2012
I don't like the Italian seasoning, and also like to use egg, and half ground beef and half ground pork. Also, the key to having tender, fall apart meatloaf is NOT to mix "well", but only to mix enough to combine ingredients. One of the ways to do this is to mix all your liquids first in a separate container, have the meat at room temperature, and then combine, with as little kneading as possible.

Whitechapel Shepherd's Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2012
I like Shepherd's Pie with a crust on the bottom and sides; if you don't want to make you own, buy the refrigerated Pillsbury crusts - they're great and easy to use. Then just line the baking pan/pot before putting the other ingredients in.
