Oaxacan Tacos

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2010
This is an awesome recipe! I marinated my steak overnight in lime juice. I cooked the steak through, then drained the juice, added in the onion and jalapeno, and cooked just until the onions were slightly soft(my husband is not a fan of cold onions!)and the steak was slightly crispy. I served with the cilantro and lime juice, and added a couple of avacados mashed with a little lime juice. Lola's Horchata from this site topped it off perfectly!! Rave, rave reviews!! ***Made this with chicken...just as good!!***

Coconut Margaritas

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2010
This is an excellent drink. I did add 1 1/2 oz. of lime juice, so I don't know how it tastes without it...but I highly recommend adding it. Also served on the rocks from a pitcher rather than blending.

Anna's Amazing Easy Pleasy Meatballs over Buttered Noodles

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2009
Eating this right now...quite tasty!! I only used 1 can each of the soups, an 8oz. container of sour cream, and a 2 pound bag of meatballs, and it was plenty for my husband and me...had enough left over for lunch tomorrow! Certainly will make A LOT as written and everyone will love it!

Perfect Pita Chips

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2009
These are great!! I tried something that may be helpful to other potential makers...I cut the pita bread in half and peeled each side apart, then cut into bite-sized pieces. I put the pieces, the oil, and the spices into a Ziploc freezer bag and just mixed everything up together and spread them out onto a non stick cookie sheet. Never have to spend so much money on store-bought chips again!! P.S. I also added some parmasan cheese!

This is divine!! I will never buy store hummus again!! Thanks! P.S. I did end up having to add a bit more olive oil because it was very thick!

Strawberry Oatmeal Breakfast Smoothie

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2004
This is great! I only added 1/3 cup oats-I think it would be too thick with 1/2 cup, and used skim milk rather than soy, but it was still delish!

French Toast II

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2004
I got 15 peices of toast from this recipe...it was really good, too. I didn't add as much nutmeg as called for-instead added a bit more brown sugar. Turned out great. Definetly recommend this recipe.

This is a great recipe! I added the cinnamon sticks cut in half and removed them before eating, but otherwise followed recipe exactly. Perfect blend of spices. Will double recipe next time.

Cheesy Potato and Corn Chowder

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2004
Great recipe. I added more potatoes as previously suggested, and used regular velveeta rather than the mexican kind with a few handfuls of colby-jack. I omitted the chilies and used fresh mushrooms instead. Family loved it!

Quite good but I had to add a little water to it to keep it from sticking to the bottom of the pan. A big hit with my family!
