Oatmeal Delights

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2000
This was the best chocolate chip cookie recipe i've ever tried. I love the texture of the rolled oats. I used mixed nuts instead of almonds and it worked well. Another time I tried using P.B. chips. It's true... whatever you do to them they turn out great! They're crisp on the outside but really chewy inside. yum! =Þ

Banana Bread I

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2000
This recipe took only 10 minutes to mix up. I used egg whites instead of whole eggs to cut more fat, though it is already quite low. (¼ cup!) My family loves it. Note: I added 2 tbsp. milk for moistness and added another banana for flavor.

Chocolate Puffed Wheat Squares

these are healthier than rice krispie squares. plus you get a hit of chocolate. I love the nutty sort of fragrance.

Cabbage Fat-Burning Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2001
this was awesome. it was so yummy and healthy too. i replaced the beans with corn, but that's about it. it's better than a lot of full fat soup i've tasted. it's really simple too. i advise you to try it.

Dirt Cake I

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2001
this was an awesome idea. i loved the idea, but didn't use the same filling recipe. instead, i layered vanilla icecream, chocolate fudge syrup and oreo cookie crumbs. it was a hit at a birthday party i threw for my 12 year old sister. they were in awe about it. you can also make your own plastic flower with construction paper and a straw. i thought ice cream might go over better with them than the filling in the original recipe.

this recipe was really excellent. my really picky father ate 1/2 the batch at one go! the dough also keeps well frozen for use in the future! i substituted raisins for blueberries. try chocolate chips too!

Absolutely the Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2001
the texture of these was weird! they went completely smooth on top. they were quite bland, but i`ll have to say that they were chewy! not the best though. the only thing that really made them good was teh chocolate chips! i`ve had better recipes for sure!

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2001
I made these with a stand mixer and my hands, not with a bread machine. They were awesome! I used 4 cups bread flour then the rest was all purpose flour for kneading and rolling. I also divided the dough in half and cut each log into 9 pieces for a total of 18 small buns rather than 12 huge ones - still baked in a 9x13 pan. This size was better especially when taking them to a potluck. Stand Mixer Method: Dissolve 1 tbsp of the sugar from the recipe in warm (100-110F) milk. Stir in yeast and leave to proof for 10 minutes. Using the dough hook, add beaten eggs and melted margarine. In a separate bowl, combine 4 cups bread flour, remaining sugar and salt. Gradually add this to the yeast mixture. If dough is still too wet, add additional all purpose flour to form a shaggy, slightly sticky dough. Turn dough out onto floured surface and knead a few times to form a smooth ball. Place in greased pan, turning to grease the top of the dough, cover and let rise. Continue with the recipe from this point on. **I let my dough rise in the oven (turned off, door closed, oven light on) with a pan of hot water underneath for moisture and warmth.**

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2001
I didn't really like the taste, but once i added garlic powder, tons of salt, pepper, spices, it was okay. i still prefer the traditional method of making white sauce from a roux.

Cake Mix Cookies VII

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2002
good for using up extra cake mix!! I found that a chocolate cake mix is better than yellow or white. Very chewy cookies. They taste excellent, but definitely use 1/3 cup oil rather than 1/2 cup.

Spicy Vegetarian Lasagna

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2002
This was excellent. I really enjoyed the light, summery flavors. However, i only used 1 egg and i used 1/2 the amount of mozzarella cheese. This made it less heavy and fattening. It still tasted great. Will definitely make this again.

Garlic is a must for this recipe. I used a crusty french bread rather than italian bread. If you're thinking of trying this recipe, go for it.

Classic Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2003
I think more peanut butter should be added to the recipe, because it tasted faintly of PB, but not really as much taste as i'd like. The consistency is excellent though.

White Chocolate Blondies

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2003
i warmed these up before serving, topped them with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream and drizzled chocolate sauce on top. Looked just like an expensive restaurant dessert. Everyone who tried these thought they tasted just excellent! It is the best and easiest recipe i have ever made.
