Cedar Plank-Grilled Salmon with Garlic, Lemon and Dill

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2011
We made this for a dinner party and everyone loved it and wanted to know how we did it. My husband actually did the grilling. The only thing I would change next time is to cut back on the salt. For a smokier taste, put the wood plank on the grill about 5 minutes before you add the fish to give the plank a chance to start smoking.

Green Bean Blue Cheese Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2006
This is a good, quick way to serve green beans to company. It was fresh and delicious. 4 stars because although it is yummy, I would make it only occasionally.

Cake Mix Cinnamon Rolls

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2006
Awesome! These came out beautifully the first time with no changes. Everyone loved them and raved about them for days afterward. They did come out huge and next time I'll divide the dough in half and make smaller rolls. Although I think part of what everyone loved was the size. I will make these again and again.

Mid-Summer Italian Bread Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2006
Unfortunately this was not a hit. No one ate much of it and I had a ton left over. I think there was too much fresh basil, and the bread was kind of dry. The only change I made was an addition of fresh mozzerella cubed. Maybe if I had added slice salami or pepperoni it would have made it into a "sub salad" and been more appealing to everyone. I probably won't make this again, too much effort for the disappointing result.

Brussels Sprouts with Mushrooms

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2006
This was an excellent way to serve brussel sprouts. The presentation is beautiful and I will make this again for my family although my 3 year old would have nothing to do with it. I'll also make this for company as it is yummy AND pretty. The key is the FRESH parsley and and lemon. Do not sub dried herbs or bottled juice.

Harvest Rice Dish

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2005
AWESOME RECIPE!!! I made this on a whim for serve with a pork roast so I didn't have all the ingredients on hand and had to make a couple of substitutions. Instead of dried cranberries, I used currants, instead of brown and wild rice, I used jasmine rice and cooked it the normal 20 minutes. And instead of orange zest, I used 1/8 tsp. orange oil. DELICIOUS! I will definitely make this again and will probably use the jasmine rice again. Perfect for holidays and special dinners.
