I thought it smelled kind of like fast food, but it definitely tastes better. My boyfriend LOVED it. The thing I like about this recipe is that the sauce came out really smoothly, which hasn't been the case for other alfredo recipes I've tried. I did find that I had to stir a lot initially to get the cream cheese to blend in well with the butter/garlic.
Instead of using garlic powder, I used 5 cloves of real garlic (minced). I also added double the pepper (although I might recommend adding a whole teaspoon) and a teaspoon of oregano. I think basil would be a nice addition as well, but I didn't have any.
Very quick, very easy, and good for the price and effort. Not the best recipe I've had, but still really good.
