I am not a "gourmet" cook and I am not talented enough to experiment and come up with something worthy of a 5 star restaurant; however, I do enjoy a good, hearty, easy, crowd pleasing recipe such as this one. I followed it to the letter and thought it was the best chili I've had in a very long time. If you want to compete in the nationals for technique, artisitc flair and worldwide notoriety, then you are visiting the wrong site. I loved this recipe because its down-home, easy cooking and it was soooooo delicious. Some of the best professional chefs I know live by simplicity = perfection. Deb...thanks so much for sharing.
