Apple Squares

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2013
Amazingly soft and tasty easy to make treats. What a great way to use some extra apples. Instead of the streusel topping, I blended some cream cheese, touch of brown sugar and some cinnamon and LIGHTLY spread some on the squares (after baked and cooled of course)... tasted like an apple cinnamon cheesecake! DEE-LISH!!!

Strawberry Freezer Jam

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2013
WHOA. Wish I had read the critical reviews on the overload of sugar. WAY too much. Ruined a big batch and had to add crushed strawberries and pectin/water to try to fix it. 1/2 of the amount of sugar would be sufficient!

Mulligatawny Soup I

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2013
Love love love this recipe! It was more delicious than I could've expected to pull off. I love curry so I upped the amount and also added some curry paste. To cut back on a few calories I used half whole milk and half light cream. Cannot wait to make it again. Thanks for sharing!!

Chicken Tikka Masala

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2012
Thoroughly enjoyed eating and making this dish. Thank you for all the salt warnings. I added only a dash and it was plenty. The recipe is very very spicy. It's hot hot. So, a dash of cayenne (if any is plenty). I also added a bit if the yogurt marinade to the sauce and brought it to a simmer. Can't wait to make it again! I never thought I'd be able to match a restaurant quality dish!

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2012
Fabulous recipe- I am writing this review as the cookie sits warm on my plate waiting for me to devour it. Easy easy recipe. Loved that I had all the ingredients on hand. Mind you, i bake with butter so i used it instead of margarine. They are full of flavor, not too sweet, and are they ever soft. Mmmm. Tip for measuring your molasses... Spray your 1/4 measuring cup with some non stick spray before pouring your molasses in and it all slides out... Clean! Can't wait to share these cookies!

Greek Pasta Salad I

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2012
Yummmmmmm. Love this recipe! I did modify the vegetables, but followed the dressing recipe. Instead of the veggies listed, I used grated carrot, grated cucumber and red onion (what I had on hand) and it was so good. I let it sit overnight in the fridge, as recommended from a fellow reviewer, and it was delightful. I can't wait to make it again, and better yet share it the next gathering!

Delectable Marinated Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2012
WOW - delectable is an understatement. This is the best, and easiest chicken marinade that ive ever tried. I didn't have any liquid smoke or paprika, but it was still to die for. I sliced chicken breast very thin (1/3 inch), soaked it in the sauce overnight, put it on some skewers and grilled it on the BBQ. love it and can't wait to make it again. Served it with pasta salad and was a perfect summertime meal.

Country Apple Dumplings

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2012
Wowzers. I was craving something apple and man did this hit the spot. And easy to make. Only regret is that I forgot to buy vanilla ice cream to go with the sweet apple goodness! I even used reduced fat crescents and diet pop and less sugar.. Still incredibly amazing.
