German Red Cabbage

This is so close to my husbands Omie's recipe. the only thing I do differently is instead of using the cheesecloth I take the onion whole, and stick the cloves in the onion and allspice and peppercorns. Than at the end i remove the whole onion and bay leaf. Oh and I don't add the apples every time.

Country Squash Casserole

this is fantastic. It was great the day I made it, and even better the next day. :) I do have to say I thought a whole red bell pepper was too much. I only added a 1/4 of one and it was perfect.

Chicken Enchiladas II

love it love it. The only thing I have to change is to not had so many chillies, my poor girls thought it was too spicy. My husband and I on the other hand loved it! Thanks so muc for taking a boring work night dinner and turning it into something kinda special. :)

Mexican Pork Chops

I fixed the recipe as written and I have to say it wasn't that good. I loved how the pork chops turned out, they were very moist. The rice mixure however was just okay. I'm not sure If I will make this again. Thanks for the recipe though. :)

Burrito Pie

This was really good. My daughters loved it! I did omit the extra can of green chilies since my daughters aren't into spicy foods. It is great, you can change the cheese you can spice it up or in my case mild it down to a kid friendly meal. I was very pleased with this dish. I didn't have a problem with it fitting in a 9x13 dish. It just kinda piled high.

Cheesy Ham and Hash Brown Casserole

My daughter (10) really loved helping me with this one. I was kinda surprised there wasn't pepper added to the ingredients, we added it anyways. it wasn't cheesy or hammy enough fo my clan so next time I will add more and it was kinda not creamy enough either so I think I will add a little milk maybe 1/2 of a can just to soup it up a bit. I see people thought it was soupy and the only thing I can think of is they used the wrong soup. Over all this was super simple and after just having surgery it was perfect and I see all kinds of possiblities with this. Thank you so much for the recipe. It is kid friendly that is for sure. :)

Cake Balls

We have had so much fun playing with different flavor combos. Caramel cake and caramel icing mixed then coated with the chocolate and sprinkled some with crushed pretzels and the other half heath bars crumbs. Really good! I am thinking of ne and crazy ways to make these. The kids and I are having so much fun. Thank you so much! :)

Easy Corn and Crab Chowder

this was a good fast quick supper. I really enjoyed it. However I think it needed way more crab meat. Also after reading the reviews about the the amount of flour it called for, I just winged it and and added enough to make a good base. It was kinda bland so I added Old Bay seasoning and garlic and crushed red pepper. I also added a can of whole corn like others had suggested. Thanks for giving me this base recipe! :)

Braised Collard Greens

These are the best. We have family and friends that gorw collards and very year I'm asked to make these. I can't wait, in a few more weeks, I can make these bad boys. I like others used red wine vinegar, I love pepper vinegar and I'm sure that would work too. just cause that is what I had, and I used fresh salted pork, not store bought.

Garlic Cucumber Dip

Grating the cucumber was easier to get the water out. I just grated it with the skin, cause I think it is pretty, and the let it dry on a paper towl for a while.Much better and like another reveiwer- salt the cucumber ever so slightly, while you let them dry out a bit.

I have a recipe that is very similar to this one, but I add a pinch of sugar (maybe 1/4 teaspoon) to the pot of turnip, because turnips can be bitter.

Creamed Cooked Cabbage

I give it one start because it was easy. I can't however give it anymore than that. My husband and I found this quite bad. We couldn't even finish our serving. After seeing the reviews, I thought that this would be something we would like, but it isn't for us. I followed the directions to a tee, but after it was all said and done, I can't think of anyway to improve this recipes. I love creamed turnips and thought this might be like it, but it isn't. Thanks for sharing, but I will continue to look for a different kinda way of fixing cabbage.
