Baked Salmon Fillets Dijon

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2004
The best salmon ever. I didn't use the breadcrumbs and I only prepared 2 peices of salmon in a ceramic dish. The extra sauce melted nicely over the salmon as it cooked and it was a good dipping sauce as well. I also used 2 tablespoons of honey-dijon and one tablespoon of regular dijon. I topped each peice of salmon with crushed pecans and that made this dish to die for. What a crowd pleaser!

Irish Cream Chocolate Cheesecake

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2004
I added double the irish cream and it still tasted more chocolately for my taste. But hey, you can't go wrong with that now can you?

Roast Beef with Coffee

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2004
The meat didn't taste beefy enough and the gravy tasted bitter. Not my thing.

No Bake Peanut Butter Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2005
This pie has an even better texture/flavour when you make your own whipped cream. To make your own whipped cream - whip 500 ml whipping cream (35%) to a soft peak. Add a tsp vanilla and a couple tbsp of icing sugar and whip to a firm peak. The pie will taste amazing and it will set up very nicely.

Chuck's Favorite Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2005
We added more sour cream and more cottage cheese to this recipe to make it moist. We also use crushed potato chips and bread crumbs on top. It is ymmy.

Deep Dish Brownies

Reviewed: May 14, 2007
Best brownies ever. I added some mint chocolate chips and they were even better. I caught people sneaking more pieces when nobody was looking and had to hide a piece for later. Very yummy.

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2008
Very tasty but looked a little strange at first. I only made half the recipe and added some cayenne and bread crumbs. The bread crumbs helped the cheese mixture stay on the fish and it was yummy.

The Ultimate Beef Jerky

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2008
We really didn't like this recipe at all. I followed it exactly and the flavour of the jerky was not good at all. Maybe this is better for a steak marinade than a piece of jerky.

Bryan's Sweet and Hot Tomato Pasta Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2008
Good starter recipe but the brown sugar was a little much. I would decrease it by at least half.

Coconut Shrimp I

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2009
Best to use raw shrimp - cooked came out a little tough but still incredibly tasty.

Cheesy Polenta

Reviewed: May 12, 2009
I really enjoyed this recipe but I found the polenta to be a little thick. It still tasted great so I'm not complaining. I added some fresh chives from my garden to spruce it up a little. Next time I'll try a liquid ratio of 5:1 to make it less firm.

This is an excellent recipe. I add chipotle powder and roasted garlic to spice it up.

This is a very moist and flavourful cake. Even people who "don't like" carrot cake eat this up.

Mustard Crusted Tilapia

Reviewed: May 13, 2009
This was terrible. The sauce was strangely coloured, the flavour was awful and it didn't really form a crust. I actually had to dare my husband to take the first bite. Sadly, this one didn't work.

Rich Chocolate Frosting

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2009
The icing had to be whipped for a while to remove the clumps of cocoa which seemed to thin it out a little. I would only add a bit of the milk at first and then whip it until smooth to see if any additional milk is necessary.

Yummy Lemon Salmon Burgers

Very tasty but the smell is a little off-putting. I used chives instead of onions and it was pretty good.

Banana Muffins II

Everyone loves this recipe! I often make a banana bread from it and it comes out light and fluffy. I've added choc chips and/or toasted walnuts and it tastes really great.
