Coconut Poke Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2014
My family and I did not care for this cake at all. It just came out soggy. We will definitely not be making this again.

Pumpkin Pie Cake II

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2011
A woman at my church made this last week for a potluck, and oh my stars . . . my friend and I could not stop raving about it! She emailed me the link to the recipe in an email that stated "this should be called Pumpkin Heaven!" So true! This is a rich and yummy dessert -- autumn on a plate! Can't wait to make it myself!

Ham Breakfast Braid

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2011
My aunt made this for brunch a few weeks ago and I've been looking for the recipe ever since. It was delicious! She substituted crispy bacon for the ham (and then sprinkled some more on top right before it came out of the oven--yum!) and added sliced green onions and orange bell pepper to the egg mixture. SO good! I also have a simialr recipe from my favorite cooking magazine that calls for thawed puff pastry dough that's been rolled out a bit, instead of crescent rolls. I find it's easier to work with (less sticky), and it bakes up crispy and flaky. It's worth trying.

Butternut Squash Bake

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2011
Wow! I love butternut squash and blue cheese, and this was a fantastic combination of the two. I used panko bread crumbs with a bit of italian seasoning mixed in since that's what I had on hand, and butternut squash I grew in my garden. My husband and I both loved this. I may add it to my Thanksgiving menu this year, and I'll definitely be making it again!

Marinated Baked Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2011
I tried this tonight for dinner and it was really great! It was a bit salty for my taste, so I think next time I might omit the celery salt mixed in with the breading. Still, it was easy to throw together with ingredients I had on hand, the chicken was moist and the breading was crispy, and it was flavorful and yummy. I'll be making this again! Thanks for the recipe!
