About this Cook
I'm 23 I have been married almost 6 years and we have a wonderful 3 year old together.I am a southern girl I cook without measuring I mix my biscuits with a fork and I don't think a single family recipe has ever been written down.
My favorite things to cook
I like to cook mexican food and I can also cook traditional native american foods. I love making soups, stews and chili. Me and my hubby aslo love to grill.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Making chicken and noodles and unrolling the egg noodles we all use to crowd around the table so we could unroll the "noogles" and recently me and Sissa have been making no bake oatmeal cookies together.
My cooking triumphs
I feel triumphent when I take a deep fried bacon ridden dish and make it healthier. Also the first time I made my husband mashed potatoes he said they were better then his Mommas!
My cooking tragedies
Roller biscuits I can't make them my Momma cat make them and neither can anyone in my fami. We make drop buscuits onlyy!!!!

Egg Noodles
I have been making these for ever and we never let them dry any longer then it took the chicken stock to boil. And we always rolled them real thin the rolled into a log and cut into slices then unrolled and cutg into 3 inch strips and ate with mashed potatoes. Also we never put anything in it but eggs flour and salt. And we boiled chicken or made a roast and cooked the noodles in that.

Simple Turkey Chili
I made this recipe with a few changes I used 1 cup Landshark Lager (its great for ribs too don't know why I only cook with beer I don't drink) instead of water and I also included garlic in with the onion

Grilled Bacon Jalapeno Wraps
I made this this past weekend and didn't care for them. I cooked them until almost burnt and the bacon was still chewy! I'm thinking I'm going to pan fry in butter for a min ute before I put them on the grill. Also on another note if you don't like the heat of the jalapeno when you de-seed if you scrap out the white veiny stuff it kilss almost all of the heat.
