Cinnamon Candy Apple Salad
I also omitted the celery and walnuts. Here is what I did to solve the problem of undissolving candies: Modify recipe to 1 1/2 cups boiling water (divided), and 1/4 cup ice cubes (about 4)***Mix the jello, candies and 3/4 cup boiling water as instructed above. Transfer all but remaining candies to mold. Then, use the remaining 3/4 cup boiling water to completely dissolve the candies, whisking as needed. Drop 4 ice cubes to aid in setting.

Layers Of Love Chocolate Brownies
Wow! I can end my brownie recipe search! I thought the batter was too thick too, but it worked out just fine. These are fudge, yet melt in your mouth good, and super rich. I used oil instead of butter, peanut butter sauce instead of caramel, extra-dark cocoa, and milk chocolate chips. You know they are done when they raise slightly and crack on the top.

Pumpkin Shortbread Bars
I loved this! I love pumpkin when it has a mild flavor. For this reason, pumpkin pie is usually not my favorite. This was a great hit at my party for pumpkin lovers and non-lovers alike. Like other reviewers, I also modified the topping mix to have a little more butter and sugar. I used brown sugar, white sugar, flower, butter and old fashioned oats. I just started and kept going until it tasted right. I think mine ended up making more topping than what the recipe called for, but I think that would be better anyway.
