Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

I have eaten *too many* of these...they are wonderful. I made half a recipe and used mini chocolate chips...the chocolate is more spread out and it takes far less than 2 cups.

Cinnamon Ice Cream

Very good flavor and creamy texture, but extremely rich. Be sure to cool mixture thoroughly before putting in the ice cream freezer.

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies

The only thing I changed was to use Splenda for the white sugar. They are on the greasy side with so-so flavor, really think a tsp. of vanilla is needed. Chocolate chips add some flavor.

Italian Sausage Soup

My teenage son made this as part of a project for his Italian class...even his younger brother who isn't crazy about vegetables asked for a bigger bowl of this and skipped the main course. My husband, who had seen the garlic out when this was being prepared and thinks he hates zucchini, was refusing to even taste it. When I got him to taste one spoonful, he asked for a large bowl also. Wow! They are *all* eating vegetables and it was so easy to make.

Blueberry Cream Slushy

I had some orange/tangerine Juicy Juice that my family wasn't drinking so I hid it in this and added a banana (which they also won't eat). Great way to sneak in some nutrition!

Strawberry Bread

Very good made with 4 c. strawberries and baked until center was not mushy (have no idea how long it finally took). Tastes best eaten cold with cream cheese!

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Excellent cookie, except that it is far too sweet for my taste. Next time I won't pack the brown sugar. I used room temperature butter and they turned out puffy and chewy.

Thai Cashew Chicken

The flavor was very good...in spite of the *awful* smell of fish sauce :-( Wonder who ever came up with the idea of ingesting something that smells like that! Anyway, if you like Thai food, this recipe is good. I will not use so much chicken next time.

Best Ever Sausage with Peppers, Onions, and Beer!

I am not a beer drinker...can't stand the taste of it...but this recipe is fantastic! I even used the entire l6 oz. bottle to make more sauce because I was serving it over rice. It did not taste like beer after the flavors all blended together. If I serve it over rice again, I will probably use tomato sauce instead of paste.

Fruit Pizza with White Chocolate

This is easy, a beautiful presentation, and *delicious*. I used fresh pineapple, strawberries, blueberries, kiwi, and peaches arranged over a heart shaped crust for Valentine's Day. Everyone went crazy over it. P.S. For a very easy and delicious crust, I just spread out a package of refrigerated Pillsbury sugar cookie dough.

Cinnamon Pie

As suggested, I made this with Sara's buttery crunch crust. I used a little extra cinnamon in the pie, and garnished with Cool Whip sprinkled with cinnamon. Good...but have to say the crust is what made the pie worthy of 5*.

Original Irish Cream

Maybe I shouldn't rate a recipe 5 stars when I've made so many changes: Used l/2 & l/2 instead of cream, lowfat condensed milk, only 7 oz. of Jamesons, and l/4 tsp. almond extract. It is awesome! (P.S. The flavor gets much stronger with age)

Almond Lemon Chicken

The only thing I changed was to use only 4 T. olive oil in the sauce, and toast the almonds in the oven with no oil. Excellent dish!

Zucchini Brownies

I was careful not to let anyone see what went into these, then overheard my teenager telling one of his friends about the *awesome* brownies I made. Batter was only dry before the zucchini was beaten in. Frosting is excellent!!
