My favorite things to cook
Cheesecake, hamburgers, lasagna, one dish casseroles, corn fed beef, Mema's Broccoli casserole and thanksgiving stuffing.
My favorite family cooking traditions
One year we ran out of bread for our stuffing, so I had to improvise and use Rye bread. It was so good that now every Thanksgiving we use Rye bread and caraway in our stuffing. MeMa's broccoli casserole is a staple of each holiday meal.
My cooking triumphs
Winning 2 cookie contests against quite accomplished cooks. My winners were Reese's cookies, my sugar cookies and my gingersnaps. But, really just having the time to cook a nice family meal is my greatest cooking triumph!
My cooking tragedies
When I was 19, I made a recipe on the back of some canned white turkey meat that called for grapes and mayo.... oh boy.... my Xhubbie never let me forget it. Probably, why he's my X LOL!

Pasta Bake
I tried this with a few variations. I had some Bob Evans Sage sausage thawed out, so I browned some onions, garlic then added the sausage. Then I used Rotini as that was the only pasta I had on hand. I used italian sausage spaghetti sauce and I used 1/2 cup monteray jack cheese and 1/2 cup of pepper jack in the mix and added another cup of that cheese mix on top. Loved it, very easy and very delicious. Served it with a nice tossed salad and warm potato rolls. Yummy.
