Quinoa Side Dish

This is the first time I've made Quinoa. I followed what others did and cooked the garlic and onion while toasting the Quinoa. I used olive oil instead of butter and it was good. I used fresh thyme and parsley and after tasting the finished product I decided it needed a bit more flavor. I fine chopped some raw onion and added it at the end like the original recipe calls for. Overall - if you don't like Quinoa, you won't like this. But if you've never tried it I would say this is a good starting point. I will make it again cooking the garlic and onion first but leaving a little onion on the side to add at the end. Thanks for the recipe!

Fluffy Whole Wheat Biscuits

This recipe turned out really well for me. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that I think in order to get a good size, you need to keep the dough pretty thick when you roll it out. I think that half the recipe would have been perfect for about 4 biscuits. I followed the ingredients exactly, using unsalted butter and skim milk. I will definitely make these again.

Apple Pan Betty

Wow! I decided to try this tonight since we have a ton of apples that I'm trying to use up. I think we'll be having this for desert every night until the apples are gone. My husband said, "what's this? There's bread in there." Then he started eating out of my bowl when his was gone. This is a great, simple recipe!
