Garlic Croutons

Reviewed: May 6, 2003
Like everyone else - these are great. I made a larger amount of croutons. I used French Bread and added some Tastefully Simple Garlic Garlic, which I let soak in the butter. Also lined my pan with foil for easier clean up. There is a loaf in the freezer waiting for me to make more right now.

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: May 19, 2003
Excellent. I added 1/4 c. granulated sugar & 1 tsp. vanilla and it's perfect. Mine was nice and moist, I accumulate bananas whin they start getting brown spots and put them in the freezer for banana bread. Being frozen they become a little watery which, I believe, makes the bread moister. This is a keeper.

Hot Milk Sponge Cake II

Reviewed: May 6, 2003
Have made this several times it,s very good but chewy. I will still make it for Strawberry Shortcake but will try to keep the butter-milk mix hotter. This is very flavorful. Oops, sorry for comma up above. I'm still not computer literate even tho' my youngest daughter has a degree in computer science.

We really didn't care for this recipe. I think it needed something added but I don't know what.

Best Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: May 6, 2003
My family did not like this at all. 5 year old grand -daughter wouldn't eat it and she loves noodles. I didn't want to give up on it so I froze some that was left {I don't like throwing out food} and reheated it for her and she still wouldn't eat it. Some day when I am home alone I will force it dosn. Sorry.

Aloo Phujia

Reviewed: May 1, 2003
I have made this several times. I love it,but my family won't eat it. I did cut back a little on cayenne & cumin because I buy my spices from Penzeys Spices and they are fresher and stronger than regular supermarket spices. I have had this in an Indian restaurant and didn't like it. All of Christines recipes that I have tried have been very good.

Garlic Chicken

Excellent, everyone loved this. My only problem was the garlic. I used the my garlic press and it took too long. However, this is a definite keeper.

Apple Dumpling Cake

Reviewed: May 6, 2003
I just don't think this recipe was all that great. I used less oil and could still taste it. This recipe reminded me of my mother's apple upside-down cake which is why I tried it. I used Bakers Joy on the pan and then sprinkled the bottom of pan with cinnamon-sugar then put apples in and sprinkled the apples with it again. They were good.

Sue's Hot Fudge Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2003
Very good. I used Dutch Process Cocoa. You must use a large sauce pan and watch carefully, I didn't and it boiled over on me. I believe if you sieve the cocoa and stir into the sugar you might not have to blend the sauce. I forgot to do that and had lumpy sauce so it had to be blended.
