Chicken Easy Delight

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2012
So easy, and love that it uses readily available ingredients. Not too sweet.

Victoria Sponge Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2009
Too much baking powder, and still the cake didn't rise that high. It would be an okay cake if it were used to soak rum in it.

Flatlander Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2005
This chili is really good! I followed the instructions almost completely. Because I don't want to cry while chopping onions I omitted them and added some white mushrooms and some portebello mushrooms. I think there's a few different types of chili mixes. Considering that this recipe asks for 1/4 cups I picked the kind that was less spicy. It didn't turn out that spicy but in my opinion 1/4 cups of chili powder is too much powder to be adding. I simmered it for 2 hours and mixed it too but I still feel that the chili powder isn't that well blended into the mix. Next time maybe I'll use less chili powder and add some hot sauce to it or use a little bit of the more spicy chili powder.

Mini Cheesecakes I

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2005
I made this recipe for my friends during christmas time and it was really good. I think my cream cheese wasn't soft enough to beat together with the sugar but I was in a rush so I used an electric hand-held machine that is supposed to puree stuff to mix it together. It actually worked out really well and it saved me some hard work. I topped it with lemon, cherry, and blueberry pie fillings, so good!

Chewy Maple Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2005
I was surprised that I had all the ingredients for this cookies already in my house. The taste was great. Loved it! Easy too, and very unique using maple syrup. I don't follow any recipes exactly and I think I put too much shortening which made my cookies really flat and too crumbly but they still tasted really good.

Chewy Granola Bars

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2003
A very good recipe which allows creativity and variety. I used more honey than indicated because I found that the granola didn't stick together if i didn't use enough honey. I made 3 batches them with mini white chocolate chips, sunflower seeds, sweetened coconut flakes and dried fruits. They were delicious, my friends loved them!

Amusement Park Cornbread

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2003
I've never tried cornbread before and it turned out better than I expected. It's definitely not sweet enough. I made muffin sized corn bread and I'm not sure what I'm going to do with them, probably add ethier honey or icing on top of them to make them sweeter!!! I love the texture of this bread
