About this Cook
My mama and grandma taught me to cook/bake when I was two-years old. I've been passionately cooking and baking since. My husband and I started our children out in the kitchen early as well. I have to admit, my hubby is pretty good in the kitchen too. It's fun working together as a family in the kitchen.
My favorite things to cook
There isn't much I won't try and love to make so many different things. That's the beauty in cooking and baking.
My favorite family cooking traditions
No measuring- I learned to connect to the ingredients more by using my senses. Telling stories and talking is an integral part of the process as well- you have to have fun! "A good cook always cleans up her mess" -that line has been passed down generation to generation. And it works! ;)
My cooking triumphs
Birthday cakes for kids! I've made a Hello Kitty cake from scratch that I absolutely loved! My meatballs are a huge hit. Trifles, pop-overs, eclairs, bread, home-made pudding, and home-made whipped cream, etc....all so much fun.
My cooking tragedies
Pie crust - it's my nemesis. One day I will master pie crust - and finally beat my husband in that category!

Made these last night. Kids and hubby devoured them. Very good.
