Chicken Stew with Pepper and Pineapple

I made this dish today, instead of leaving chicken in chunks, I shredded it after cooking and served it over rice ...tasted awesome! The peppers and pineapple together with the seasonings made for happy tummies!

Slow Cooker Apple Crisp

Taste is wonderful, but I think there was too much topping with this one...I prefer a lighter covering of the streusel topping and this was just too thick for our taste.

Slow Cooker Italian Beef for Sandwiches

Made this for the Allstar program as a recipe I'd never tried before...well, I'll sure make it again! Did cut it down to six servings, but no other adjustments...flavor is amazing, not too salty, one of the best beef roast sammies I've ever had...served on Kaiser roll, next time I'll add a little horseradish to the bun, but it really needs no additional flavoring!

Cream Cheese Chocolate Chip Bars

Taste good, a little gooey even after setting all night; hard to cut into even pieces. Added 2nd egg to crust, was more like crumbs...increased temp to 350°F and baked the entire 50 min. Not something I'd make often cause it's really rich...

Thousand Island Dressing II

Hubby wanted Big Mac from McDonalds...I said can make cheaper but didn't have Thousand Island dressing here...so I used this recipe & it's wonderful! I used dill pickle relish instead of sweet and think I like it better...either way, this is definitely a keeper!! Thanks to the author!

Traditional Salisbury Steak

I made this today...changed a bit, used fresh cremini mushrooms, no oil, no flour...used lo-sodium beef broth for gravy base & mixed cornstarch for thickening...no Worcestershire either as I was limiting salt...it was soooo good!

Fiber One® Chocolate-Peanut Butter Haystacks

Made this today, included 3/4 C. flaked coconut in with other ingredients. They turned out fine, taste is good; however, I think milk chocolate or peanut butter chips would be more desirable, as the semisweet chocolate seems to be very strong. You really can't taste the coconut much, but it does get stuck in your teeth... Not the best snack ever, but far from the worst! :)

These are really good! The recipe says two servings...got about 3/4 cup total after cooking. Will increase amounts next time! The dressing was excellent, though I think the mustard overpowered the lemon/vinegar...but we liked it!

Easy Asian Baked Chicken

This was excellent...only complaint is that it's really salty, & I used low-sodium soy sauce. Next time, I'll cut back on the amount of soy sauce. I also chopped whole water chestnuts and put them in so they cooked in the sauce, as suggested by another review. Served this with the Splash Of Color Skillet recipe...they went together very well, hubby gave it thumbs up! Went back for seconds, too...:)

Applesauce Pork Loin

Made this today and we loved it! I increased applesauce to entire can, doubled the dijon & prescribed amt of honey...put the fresh rosemary on top to bake. This is a good recipe, tasty & simple to make...Thanks for sharing it!

Baked Fake Steak with Gravy

Finally got around to making this...it's really tasty! I added some additional sliced onions and sliced mushrooms when baking, as well as made my own gravy instead of using the packaged stuff... Cut into 12 large squares, so essentially 12 meals...like the other lady said, don't let the time scare you...it's really simple to put together and well worth the time!

great taste, light texture...omitted nuts cause I didn't have any, but it was good anyhow. Hubby likes it, and the fact it doesn't need frosted is a plus...will make again~

Love love love this recipe...had this along with baked chicken for nephew's birthday dinner... Generally add some molasses to my cornbread, but this one is just as the recipe is written, although I did double the recipe...very little leftovers!

Taco Seasoning I

Made this today as I was out of the storebought variety...it's not quite the same flavor, but good. I ground my own black peppercorns with a mortar & pestle, then blended the rest of the ingredients in and mixed well. Took about 5 minutes to make! For sure, it's more cost efficient and love having it on hand...I put it in a small ziploc bag for storage. Thanks for posting this!

Pineapple Bacon Burgers

I don't have a gas or charcoal grill, so did these in a pan on the stove...about the only thing I followed directions on was putting the barbecue sauce (used Jack Daniels No. 7) in the meat...used all the ingredients, but tweaked the method...used chunk pineapple cause that's all I had, so drained it & heated in skillet w/some bbq sauce to glaze it...bacon was precooked in the freezer in smaller pieces...and I added some romaine lettuce, tomato and miracle whip... The flavors were wonderful...pineapple was sweet and bbq sauce tangy...husband who always complains was quite satisfied with these burgers....he ate two of them!! Thanks for the recipe, will definitely be making them again...
