Salsa Vegetable Soup

Didn't have zucchini & limiting potatoes...but I did use green peppers, corn, carrots, broccoli, shredded cabbage & homemade salsa. Also added a little lean ground beef, browned first in oil w/onions, chopped cremini mushrooms & seasonings, added some homemade beef broth for extra flavor. Served w/a tsp of sour cream & some homemade corn tortillas...Great recipe & love the versatility. Really hit the spot on a cold snowy day! Thanks for sharing this!

Chocolate Pretzel Treats

Forgot to add that we used the little square pretzels (Snyders of Hanover 'SNAPS')and peanut butter M&M's in Christmas colors....mmmmmmmm!

Marble Cake I

Used this as birthday cake as he requested marble cake...two 9" layers, frosted w/Wilton's Buttercream Frosting with almond flavoring...for middle, I used half a jar of Solo Strawberry Filling...tasted really good, the frosting was kind of sweet but everyone ate their share w/some ice cream!

Honey Roasted Carrots

Second veggie for birthday dinner for nephew...he loves my Mom's honey glazed carrots,so I tried this way for a change...omg, they were great!! So simple, I used a 2 lb bag of baby carrots for this recipe and they were awesome!! Think we'll have these more often!!

Baked Chicken

Main part of nephew's birthday dinner...rather than using cornflakes, I followed someone else's recommendation to coat with panko and flour; I also used sour cream and egg whisked together for flavoring & moistness...dredged breast halves in flour, then sour cream/egg mixture & let excess drip away, then coated in panko w/flour & seasoning of Mrs. Dash, Garlic Powder and black pepper...baked in oil-glazed pan and everyone loved it...had ten people, of which 4 were children...needless to say, there were leftovers as I cooked 14 breast halves...what WAS I thinking? lol, leftovers!! Only complaint was the coating didn't stickk to the meat enough, think maybe baked a little hotter than necessary...but it tasted great!!

Simple Caprese Salad

Had this today as part of a birthday dinner made for my nephew...just very simply used fresh tomatoes, sliced mozzarella ball, fresh basil and a tad of olive oil, then sprinkled w/pepper...fresh, nice addition to meal...it was very well received!

J.P.'s Big Daddy Biscuits

Tasty, flaky, everything a biscuit should be...Patted to 1" and cut w/ 3" cutter, got beautifully high results! Recipe said it made 6 grand size, so I doubled it...lol, got 20 super size biscuits! Those 'grand size' must have been huge to get only 6!! Will put some away & hope they reheat well for chicken soup tomorrow...Good as an egg muffin, w/butter only, and w/apricot jam...great recipe, has become my only recipe now! Thanks!

Pineapple Pork Chops

Used boneless country style ribs to make recipe instead of chops. Also, put chunk pineapple and diced up half a red bell pepper for some color...thanks for sharing this, Breanna20...it's a keeper in my household!

Macaroon Cookie Bars

As others said, crust portion was more like brownies. Baked in time given, but I got in a hurry & didn't let them cool long enough before cutting...they didn't look nice but they tasted good...really rich, though, they should last a little bit! Got 24 out of a 13 x 9 pan. Thanks for sharing this recipe!

Nice recipe, easy prep...used Splenda for sugar & pure maple syrup for honey (didn't realize we were out!)...loved the taste, will make again w/honey...hubby approved, it's a keeper...:) Thanks for sharing!

Fish Friday Tuna Burgers

Great idea, came together quickly, tastes fantastic! I did sub 3/4 C. panko bread crumbs for the crumbs/bread cubes...for seasoning, used Everglades Fish & Chicken seasoning but omitted the salt/pepper...fried in butter, too...A funny thing, I put the lettuce & tomatoes on plate & drizzled with a drizzle of Pomegranate Vinaigrette, some got on the tuna and it really was good! Tarragon Broccoli

8/6/12 This is a really good dish! Quick, inexpensive and healthy...we really liked it, and the tarragon gives the broccoli a boost tastewise...served with the Glazed Country Ribs (this site)...yum! Thanks Kathleen, for a great recipe!

8/6/12 These were good! Marinated overnight as per recipe, the flavorings were subtle but tasty...hubby said "Mmmm!" Grilling over indirect heat was a challenge, as the grill is round & not real big, so some got real dark quickly...so put them in a foil pan & finished the cooking...will definitely make again! Thanks for the recipe!!

Love these! made them for a wedding...easy using the cake mix and taste great! I did use the Loran Lemon Oil instead of extract...only takes a drop but really gives great flavor! Thanks for sharing this recipe, Lissa!

These are sooo easy to make...and tasty too! Loved that you didn't have to form into a cup first...did have problems getting the chocolate to set up because weather was warm & humid, but put in freezer for a bit & they were fine...wedding fare and very popular!

Coconut Macaroons

Made a double batch of these for a wedding...omg, they are soooo good! Instead of almond extract, I used the Loran Almond Oil...only took a tiny bit but the taste is amazing..thanks for this wonderful recipe! They are easy and a real hit!

Used to make a recipe for Peanut Blossoms, but decided to use this and add the kisses...these are amazingly good, great p/b flavor, I added extra...these are for a wedding, and the taste testers have already declared them fabulous!
